Okay, so I'm making a League 2 Team, editing over Grimsby Town so I can build it up from scratch. I want to do it as legitemately and realistically as possible and I have to come the section in the editor where I am to edit certain conditions for the club and this is where I need some help. Please bear with me as I bombard you with questions, hopefully they're not complete noob questions asked too frequently

1. Finances

What is the difference between the Balance and Transfer budget? What's a realistic balance/transfer budget/wage budget for a League 2 Team?

What exactly is the Sugar Daddy and it's options, Foreground, Background and Underwriter?

What would be a realistic Stadium Rental Per Year for a League 2 Team?

How much debt would a League 2 Team owe and to what?

2. Staff and Players

I've deleted all the existing players on the team as I read somewhere that if you delete all the existing players on the team you will get a whole team of regens, is this true?

I want to do the same for the staff, everyone from the chairman to scouts. Will they also be regenerated or do I have to manually put them in?

I would appreciate any feedback and anything else I may need to know. Thanks in advance.

1.

Balance is your overall bank balance and transfer budget is how much of that balance is allocated to transfer deals.

Sugar Daddy is someone like the owner of Man City who plunges cash into the club. Dont really know the difference between different ones

For all other finance questions id suggest looking at other league two teams through the editor and looking at what their finances are like

2.

Only when you start the game you click on use genertated players in the game set up. But it does mean that ALL teams will have made up players. Dont think that it will just create regens for you.

You dont have to do staff etc....just tick the bit when your selecting what leagues you want in a new game that says some thing like fill all key staff

Hope this helps a little bit for you

Thanks alot for telling me this Harriers09, especially for the bit about regenerated players. Might just use the ones I have to start with if thats the case.

I've made my own team in the Blue Square South that I use to play in the game as. Like you, I wanted them to be created at a "realistic" level, so I wanted everything to be more or less on par with what the other Blue Square South teams were like.

The first thing I would suggest to do is, using the editor, open up the "League 2" competition page and then you can sort the teams by their reputations. From looking at the list, you can figure out what the average reputation is and assign your team an appropriate reputation. I would suggest doing the same thing with the finances. (Another way to do this is to load up a normal game, see who has the most finances in your game, see who has the least and then give your team something that's about mid-way)

As for players, what I did was use a tool like FMRTE to filter out all the players from the Blue Square South league. You can then sort them by their CA (Current Ability) and PA (Potential Ability) ratings, to see roughly what sort of level you need to create your players at. I then created one player with a CA that was about average for the BSS and left the PA as "0" which would randomly assign a value to the PA upon loading the game. I then duplicated the player 21 times (So I had a squad of 22 players) and then went in to each one and changed their positional values, so that I had 2 GK, 2 DL, etc, etc, etc. Obviously you'll have to change their names and stuff, unless you want a whole team of John Smiths!
