Making money through affiliated clubs?

I'm playing as Liverpool, I requested to the board that we find a club that would increase our profile in another country and they gave me the option to select one myself.

I'm guessing that increasing the teams profile in another country would help with shirt sales?

If this is correct, is there any countries I should link with?

I generally go with China/Japan, and then sign their highest profile player
