Sir Alex Ferguson has been sacked by there American owner Malcolm Glazer. The Manchester United owner, who gradually took ove the club between 2003-2005, revealed he needed a new chapter in Manchester United future and didn't think Sir Alex was up to the job. Sir Alex commented:
" I am very shocked and dissapointed to be leaving Manchester United "
These were some of the comments made by the fans on the street's of Manchester
" It's an absolue disgrace, Ferguson made Man Utd what it is today and these Yanks turns up with no clue about football and sack possibly the greatest manager ever seen on these planet "
" The owners don't have a clue. They treat the club as a busniess and have no passion like the fans. They are the one's that should be leaving not Alex "
A couple of minutes after this happend, Sky Bet released these odds of who will be there next manager with Jose Mouinho topping the list.

10 days after Sir Alex Ferguson was sacked, Manchester United have appointed there former number 7, Eric Cantona as there new manager. Cantona, who is dubbed the King by fans has signed a 4 year deal with the Manchester club and has an option to extend it at any time. He's only football related job was the coach of the France Beach Soccer national team. Some fans welcomed the new manager with lots of praises:
" I told you the King would be back, best news I've heard in ages "
" You just couldn't write it could ya, if he does half the job Alex had done, he'll be one heck of a man, Welcome back Eric "

Eric: Thankyou, it's a great feeling being back here, i would have never of thought i'd be here again. I could say it's a dream come true!
Journalist: What do you hope to accomplish here Eric?
Eric: Well, if i win a quarter of the trophies that Sir Alex did, i'll be very pleased!
Journalist: Have you had any chance to speak to the players and the staff yet?
Eric: The players no, they won'y be back until next week but i've managed to catch a word with Mike (Phelan)!
Journalist: Anything you would like to share with us?
Eric: (laughter) Not now!

18 year old left-back Dodo also signs for Manchester United for 1.5m from Brazilian club Corinthians.
There last signing was Netherlands right back Gregory Van Der Wiel for 10m from Dutch club Ajax.
