Man Utd Handheld Career

Hello everyone. This is my first ever Football Manager story so there might be a few mistakes. In this story I will be using the handheld version for ANDROID and OSX. I chose to manage Manchester United FC.

Signings:

I was very happy with my transfers gaining 2 very good young players Luke Shaw and Eder Alvarez Balanta picking both of them up for $70m. I was very surprised with the selling’s of Giggs and Ferdinand who were actually bought for around $3m. Javier Hernandez and Ashley Young got me some good money around $40m.

Formation:


This season my Board are expecting me to mount a serious challenge for the title. I chose to use a 4-2-2-2 formation with Nani and Juan Mata playing as inside forwards or wingers. Rooney is my advanced forward and Van Persie my target man. Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick are my Ball winning and Central Midfielders. My 2 new defenders Shaw and Balanta make it into my first team which were really good signings.

My First 3 games didn’t get off to a start i was hoping with me losing to Ipswich 0-1 with Daryl Murphy scoring in the 55th. We should have won with our 19 shots to their 7. I was very happy at Full time against wolves beating them 1-3 with Robin Van Persie scoring in the 2,6 minute, Wolves dragged back at the 75th minute with Kevin McDonald. Marouane Fellaini then doubled the lead again to seal the win. All disappointment in the English Community Shield match against Wigan with Man Utd going down 4-5 in PENALTIES. Robin Van Persie scored another early goal in the 2nd minute but joy wasn’t the end, Wigan also got off to a great start with Marc Antoine Fortun? scoring for Wigan in the 5th. Michael Carrick then put us back in front in the 26th minute with a long range goal. It was looking good with my defensive formation 5-2-1-2 until the 80th minute when David Templeton scored for Wigan.
