Hi,

does anyone know if your salary (user manager salary) is included in wage budget of the club? In other words can I as a manager help the club finances if I accept low wage? I am in Boreham Wood now, going to nPower league 1, of course club have almost no money and I accepted wage 1k per week..

Oh, that's a shame.. I think that developers should include this in next edition because in reality many managers accept low wages to help the club when needed...

Will never happen, FM aims to be as realistic as possible and to be quite frank, this rarely happens in football.

Liverpool offered me 195k p/w wages, I earn more than my best two players put together.

How often this happens is a matter of discussion. I live in Czech Republic and this happend here for three times as I remember. We have managers who love the club and are able to sign contract with lower wages (and I don't think this happens only in CZ) But do you think it is unrealistic, that money given to manager are included in club money? I think that in reality manager salary can take a big chunk from the budget and if FM wants to be realistic, it should be taken into account. Do you think otherwise?

It is being realistic when the managers salary takes a chunk of the budget because that is what happens. I get your accepting a lower salary point though, I was able to negotiate a lower one once but that may of changed in recent patches.

Usually when they offer you a contract what they offer is the lowest they will go.

They offered me quite big money, but I reduced it myself.. I though it would help the club.

Really? I've never had chance too.
Got offered around 80k, 150k then 195k p/w each time i signed a new contract, wouldn't let me lower it below what they offered.

The higher your wage, the higher your buyout

Which makes it that much harder for the board to justify firing you.

Sure, go ahead and take 1 dollar per week. The instant you lose a few games they won't hesitate to replace you.

Sounds like FIFA Manager to me. In FIFA Manager you can focus on something that has nothing to do with actually being manager. They should have called it FIFA Chairman instead it.

im a club leagend, and earing 110k p/w , while my star players are earning 185 - 275k p/w.

it is useless as Jake already mentioned, do not try and go as low as possible as some people have been fired/released as they asked for a really low wage and could not reach an agreement with the board! keep that in mind!

I always accept what they offer me, it means nothing as there is nothing you can do with it... sometimes I delay for a while just for fun

we were hoping that the cash you accumulate could be used to pay for things like Coaching/Managing badges, maybe when you move to a different country after accepting a new job you would need to buy a house or something, go to a small team and either buy out the club and become manager/chairman etc and really take the club to new levels

that would be fun actually being able to buy your own club or at a certain level once you have generated enough cash you can start your own club?

I am a club legend as well. Although I am only getting 6,000 p/w though. Even my back up to my backup's are making more than me. I have earned 6.5 million. Wish I could have some money from players I sold since I am close to 2 billion from players.
