As this is a manager game, we all have to sign contracts just like the players. But I can't seem to figure out the point in asking for high wages. I was recently offered a new contract by Werner (Liverpool), and I reduced the wage offered to me from £43.500p/w to £10.750p/w, which was the lowest possible amount. I trust the amount spent on manager wages are included in the "staff wages" in the finance overview, which would mean I'm saving the club some money. IOW, I'm saving myself money. In FM12 you couldn't do this, you could only increase the wage when negotiating your contract, which annoyed me a lot. Why the **** would I need alot of virtual money that just cost the club I'm managing? Am I right? ...or did I miss something?

Whoops, seems I posted this in the wrong subforum. Sorry about that.

It counts towards the leaderboards. Although I don't see the point in that. I have negotiated the wage down in the past but if your club has a load of cash it can be fun seeing how much you can nick. I've seen someone get £800,000 a week in a previous FM.

Haha! Yeah I guess that's the only point in it: Showing off.
