One of the things that I couldn't stand about the previous FM was the way that players would randomly become 'worried by a lack of managerial discipline' without any good reason. I thought this had been fixed but this has just happened to one of my best players, Srna. It can't be anything I've said in press conferences as I'm usually that dull and inoffensive that any real reporter would fall asleep.
I did notice that towards the end of the season at some press conferences I would be asked if I was 'going to change my managerial approach'. I was too stubbon to say yes but now I'm wondering that if I do will the problem go away? Or will my players think I'm a guttless swine? Does anybody have any experience of this?
Normally I'd just tell the player to take the long road and walk it but he got the most assists in the Prem playing at RB.
Cheers.

I had the same problemwith Spurs GK Gomes. I thought it was because I choose not to discipline another player after a dodgy sending off.

So its either National or Continental.

If its Continental it shouldnt be a problem, however National may be another story.

It can also happen if you dont disipline your reserve and under 18 players , as ive recently found out. I had to sell Eduado due to this.

i'm confused. are we talking about players saying in there profile their worried about the lack of managerial discipline? That happens when someone gets a red card, or doesn't show up at the training, and you don't give them a fine. then other people think you should punish them cause otherwise everyone could get a red card and get away with it.
if it is about the feedback during a match, that players can't get inspired by you, that is about manager reputation.
Are those things interelated? Because I've never seen anyone say he's worried about the lack of managerial discipline because of anything else than when you forget to punish...

I think two thinks are being confused here.

Ok. Srna is a 'Natural Leader'? And he gets upset when you don't give out discipline because for him leadership is about discipline as well as praise? Whereas Robinho is a bit of a slacker, and he does get upset when you discipline him? That shows just how great the game is at replicating the importance of building a harmonious squad.

Now 'players not being motivated' does seem to also be reported as being a reputation problem for you - your player doesn't think you're up for the job. However, it may be possible that if this begins to show up suddenly that it might also be an issue with your teamtalks. Now that's pure speculation and something I'm kind of testing out now (very slowly), so if it's wrong, it's wrong - but it does seem to be holding up for what I'm seeing.
