I am in 2024 and i manage Peterborough United, just won the prem back to back amongst other trophies. Yet to get far in Europe. I have been there for about 10 years and got them to where they are. However, I am still only on ?12,000 p/w. I am not too bothered as it holds little benefit, however I was wondering is there a way to negotiate more because we are 23rd richest club in the world and i can only negotiate to ?16,000 otherwise they refuse

two things,

a) this is not a manager story like said^^
b) does it really matter what your wage is? you can't spend it on anything anyway so there's no point to being on 120,000 a year etc

I always make my contract lowest possible, frees more up for your players!

I have heard before that it can help with you not getting fired, Like in real life if you were doing bad but you had a 4 year contract on 100k a week they wouldnt sack you but if you chose a 13k a week contract it would be easier to get rid, Not sure if thats exactly right but thats what i got told after asking a similar question a while back

Yeah the more your contract is worth the higher your job security. I have no idea why your contract offers are so low, could be a bug?

that makes sense to as why i get fired after like 2 losses in a row....i always put it lowest and save the dough!! not anymore...more money for me i guess then
