All 3 brought in as first choice, wanted a better choice at RB and LB and didn't have confidence in Lescott or Demichelis at CB.

Henderson brought in as first choice alongside Toure, Romero more for the future/back up so many be loaned out, and Insigne brought in as first choice left winger.

Pre-season fixtures went well with 5 win, 1 draw and a loss. Welbeck had the most impressive performances during pre-season even getting a hat-trick in one game.


Transfers

The transfer market was considerable busy for us this year with 4 players coming in. Vidic had to go because he was getting old and asking for too much so I replace him with Dante who is considerably old but has another 4 years in him and is on around 40K a week less than Vidic was. Ashley Young had to also go. He was on a stupid 120K a week contract and he wasn't going to help my team that much so I sold him. Hernandez wasn't originally going to be sold but Spurs made a good bid so he went. I signed Danny Rose to be a back up to Evra and sold buttner. The last signing has to be the best signing out of them all and it was Shaqiri. He came in for a fairly good fee and didn't ask anywhere near as much as Ashley Young for wages.
