mark_hughes_blackburn1.jpg

Manchester City bring the trash back in as Mark hughes returns to the City of Manchester
stadium. Manchester City are hoping to bring glory with the appointment.

The appointment that has shocked the nation as Mark Hughes returns to Manchester for a
lump sum of money. The latest rumour is that Mark Hughes only rejoined as he was offered
£70,000 a week to rejoin.

Manchester City have a season ahead of them that they can try for glory but will be pushing
for Champions league places.

Hughes had this to say " Who would'nt want to manage Manchester City for the money they
offer. Being serious I think I can take them to the top of their game. I only have 1 major priority
in the transfer period and that is Robiniho, I have decided to play him pre-season and see what
happens as if he proves himself then I can't let him go"

So the shock of the pre-season

Have your Say !

Good start pal! Good Luck!

Manchester City sign Anderlecht's Romelu Lukaku[/center

Lukaku waving goodbye to his fans

Mark Hughes has today revealed the signing of Romelu Lukaku for a fee of around £1.7 Million.
This also calls for speculation over Robiniho's future at City.

Anderlecht didn't want to let Romelu go to a club where he wouldn't really feature in the first team but Manchester
City offered a negotiated deal to draw them in.

Romelu was last night at The City of Manchester Stadium having a medical done in time to be registered for the upcoming
Premier League season. Rumors say that Romelu has passed his medical but we have heard nothing from Manchester City
yet.

We did get a comment from both Mark Hughes and Romelu Lukaku so here is what Mark had to say :

" He is a bright player and definitely has a future here which I really hope he commits himself to and stays on track even if he
is not immediately in the 1st team. Robiniho is staying put and this has no relation to that speculation."

Romelu told us this :

" I hope I can prove myself coming to a team with such big expectations and whether I will cope with the pressure. My main problem
will be first team football I have already said this to Mark that I do not wish to be sitting on the bench so if I am not in your plans that
game I would rather play in the reserves."

Links have also been made with a £26 million move for Dzeko

god knows why you bought myhill
Much better out there, much cheaper. Alex Smithies,Steve Harper to name two off top of my head.
Good luck anyway, could make me eat my words, even though you have Given ;p Good to see the new layouts in the Newspaper style

Myhill is a good keeper and cheap

From Rags to riches !

edindzekoteplicegc7.jpg

Wolfsburg's Edin Dzeko has completed a £19 million transfer to Manchester City after completing a
medical late last night at City's training ground.

Dzeko now has wages of £110,000 a week and is hoping to be in the team for the first Premier League
match Vs Hull next weekend.

All Manchester City fans have enjoyed watching him play at Wolfsburg and were surprised when there were
no public announcements over negotiations although fans will love the signing.

Mark Hughes was on Scene and told us this :

" He is a very intelligent footballer and is very keen to score goals and I hope that attitude wears off on all of
his teammates and I wish him the best of luck."

Dzeko also was on scene (Translated) :

" Very happy to be here and enjoy English football very much and wish to succeed with all I do and wish to thank
Mark Hughes for bringing me here."

Manchester City take on Hull at the weekend will Dzeko feature >

Stay tuned for next week on ESPN Soccer net !

good signings, i always follow city stories, beauty of a layout, and i assure you myhill is better than stuart taylor, that ******* lost me the fa cup final, id have gone for enyeama though mate

I'm not sure about this story, that much for Boaz Myhill? The EPL states that your aloud to loan emergency goalkeepers in at anytime, such as when your main Goalkeeper is injured and you have no others. I used Given the whole of the first season and the second without buying a backup. But, whatever floats your boat.

I'll be following :)

nice signing in dzeko i had him on a manchester city save he was brilliant

Hull hold City to a goalless draw

Manchester+City+v+Hull+City+Premier+League+4zV7fALRR0ml.jpg

Hull City start their season with a draw against one of the toughest teams in the Premier League after
Manchester City failed to score from their chances.

Manchester City will feel that with an easy game for them on the opening day that they could get a good start to the
season, but Hull City were determined to get something out of the game and Phil Brown's men did what they could and
got a point.

Hull started brightly with Jimmy Bullard firing a long range shot that came so close that the paint work on the post was
scraped off by the ball. Bullard continued troubling the City defense with Desperate runs down the centre and then through
balls out wide.

City had an excellent chance on 34 minutes when Carlos Teves cut the ball back to the edge off the box to find Dzeko who
fired a shot at goal which was saved and the rebound fell to Robiniho who spooned the ball out of the stadium.

Half Time : 0-0

Both teams fired up and Managers ready to fight and the game kicked off.

Richards gave the ball out wide to captain Shaun -Wright-Phillips who ran down the right hand side and cut back towards goal but
the ball was intercepted by Kilbane and he launched a counter attack he was one on one and Given takes him down but no
penalty is given and Hull are furious.

MOTM : Jimmy Bullard

Attendance 34,057

If i were you I'd invest HEAVILY in the CB region, Lescott and Toure don't cut it in CB rolls for me at all. That said Lescott does play well as a defensive LB.

Yehh but who falls into that catagory with 5 million to spend ? Turner ?

With results like that, you will be like the actual Hughes. Draw against Hull City? Rings a bell. ;)

Baasically I have a budget of around 6 million ( considering the players I bought) and I need a CB maybe a regen ? any idea's ?

Well you can pay an basically infinite amount of money on monthly installments i think, so i got mexes and chiellini and theyre pretty solid.
