Right so here is tactic I have just made, it's called Manchester United Domination.
IT IS A BETA! However Very Early indications tell me that I am onto something really good here!
Introduction:
I actually got the idea to make this tactic from watching Manchester United's last league game against Blackpool on Sunday. Whilst i realise they played a 4-3-3 that day, the way Fergie would have translated the tactic into a 4-2-4 would have been the same. Essentially the two wide strikers dropping down to be inside forwards and instead of Anderson attacking from deep, it would be Rooney playing up top coming back to get the ball deep. So i wanted fluid, relatively fast football which would contain the opposition into their half but not be too risky when it came to counter attacks.
Test Instructions(Recommended for top table teams) :
Start a new test save with United or any other TOP team and have a go with this if you don't mind.
Can you test it until you have played 15 matches in the premier league.
Notes:
RCB- Ball playing defender on cover (Ferdinand type)
LCB- Centre Back on defend (Vidic type)
RCM- Breaks up attacks (Fletcher as im not yet sure if carrick has the work rate)
LCM- Play maker ( Modric type)
STR- Extreme Poacher (Hernandez)
STL- Rooney type role
Match prep: None and Max -> When all bars are fluid ->let assistant handle it
Pitch Size: Max
Things to watch please:
Still unsure whether to have the wingers on often for Through balls.
If you can watch this for me and tell me if you feel the wingers are being to greedy when they should look for a pass instead on the counter. I basically want the wingers to be drift in and make through passes to the full backs or drift out and make through passes to the strikers.
