hello
this is my first post here
sorry if it isn't in the right place

i have many problems with my team
i am playing with liverpool

players get complacent against teams like birmingham 2-1 and wolves 2-0
i tried many things but doesn't work
1) change my assistant manager and get one with high motivation
2) change my Captain
3) rotate the squad
4) i expect a win in team talks
5) not to get complacent
but nothing works at all
i am playing with 4-3-3 tactic
3 with ball winning mid - box to box mid - central mid
and 2 wingers with attack duty
1 deep lying forward with attack duty

the other problem is 'more shots but less goals'

any ideas ?
thanks

on every player in advanced tactics set it so they shoot from range to rarely, i feel that a lot of missed shots come from that and it would be better to pass it around.

Maybe change your striker to a complete forward or target man. Have wingers on Inside forward and put an Advanced Playmaker in the midfield. This will help you score more.

Also threaten to sell players if they play bad.

If you have suitable players for it, get at least one attacking advanced playmaker in your midfield. If he is good, he will often join your forward in attacks and cause confusion and larger gaps in the opposing defense. If you are playing with two wingers and one forward, try to set the wingers up as inside forwards - if they have the skills for it that is. With players who have the skills for it, they will score lots of goals after crossings. Inside forwards are even more effective if they have the "bend towards the middle" (or whatever it is called in the english version) trait.

About complacement, you should evaluate your team talks. After a match, check the team talk reactions from the match and see which player reacted good / bad to something you said and keep trying different talks to the players until you figured out which player is likely to get a boost with which talks.

Changing your captain during the season damages your overall performance, because most players will drop motivation and start a bad form streak. If your assistant coach was favoured personell for some players, they will also suffer from his replacement for a while.

i have steven gerrard and Ganso (paulo henrique) with moussa sissoko at the middle
maxi rodrigez and joe cole at the wings
luis suarez as deep lying forward

Unlike some other people here, I don't know their stats from memory. But you can check for yourself. In the tactics screen, when you assign a role / duty to them, click them on the field (right side) and the screen on the left side should change so you see all relevant attributes for a position with that role / duty highlighted. That's the easiest way to judge if a player is suitable for a role

the changes make the team perform better but they need to do more specially in defence
what can i do in defence ?
i have 2 defenders with one of them stopper duty
and 2 def mid one of them with sup and the other with def duty
any changes to help the team ?

You could try my 4-3-3 wing attack tactics and see if it works for you. It did for me for many seasons and many different teams so far.

although i win every match when i use a new tactic, this one is simply looks brilliant
i am playing with inter in 1 st knockout and the first match ends with 1-0 for them
i tried many tactics for the 2nd leg to get one good tactic and i always finish the 2nd leg with 1-1 or 2-1
your tactic finishes the match with 17 shots 10 on goal 2-0 result :D

thanks for this tactic
how can i make my own one
sorry for my bad english

I can honestly say i think you're having trouble because you're changing too many things too quickly. Players need time to adapt!

no Harriers09
these changes over time and over various saves
the big problem i have faced is liverpool
i played with man utd before and stay with them to seaseon 2020 - 2021 winning many trophies
i think i took with them the champions league 4 times at least

Glad to hear it works. I've created about 100 or more different tactics from scratch now, but most of them only work for the current team. Just 3 worked for all teams after some adaption so far.

What do you mean with how can I create my own one ? Do you mean how to export it into a file ? Whenever you save a tactic, it creates a file in Documents / Sports Interactive / Football Manager 2011 / tactics

Pay attention to the individual player settings, they have a much more important impact than the lineup. In my tactic, if you click on a player, the left screen will change to player details. From there click the Advanced button, this is where you set up individual player tactics.

On the team talks if a player has low morale and you say "I expect a win" it might not have the same effect as it would on a player with high morale. If you are expected to win use "I expect a win" as a general team talk but on the players with lower morale do an individual team talk "you have faith". On the team talk feedback page his reaction will probably be "happy, looked delighted" or "morale boost".

no i mean how to develop my own one and performs good
the problem i have faced that this tactic works good against giant teams but against lower reputation teams i fail to win

Couldnt agree more. Make small changes & give each change a chance 2 succeed before dismissing.
