1. Short or Direct Passing - whats the big differences and how do i decide which suits me better

2. target men - does this have to be a striker/ attacker or can it be a defender who's tall

3. scouting Africa - is it better just to ask people to scout manually ( selecting the player and then get report) or is the a way of doing it by going into scouting menu and setting location. Ive doen this but neither of the scouts if got have brought back any players at all

4. A player has an effect that says he will be leaving on a free transfer at the end of the season/contract, how do i get him for free?
 
1. Depends on pitch size, teams ability to pass, formation. Assistant manager will tell you if you should swap as well during each match.
2. Target man has to be in the striker position
3. Game starts generating regens after you complete your first season
4. Go onto his profile, in the top right hand corner will be a button called "approach to sign"

IMO i dnt agree with target man has to b in striker position, on my Barcelona save i se Messi to AMR-Inside Fwrd-Att and set him to target man- Run on to ball. 1st season av rating 8.37, 39 goals and 22 assists.
 
thanks alot, thisll help as ive currently gone from a 451 to 4312. One problems is with number 4., It says hes leaving at the end of his contract yada yada, but theres no option to approach yet =(, is it just a question of waiting now? had to do the same for schweinstieger but it took a while

I think its you can only approach to sign players, before their contract ends [from 6 months before I think] from a different country- and players in the same league you'll have to wait until their contracts have ended.
