Hello my fellow FM Base people!

I am planning an online game where at least 15 preferably all Premiership teams will be human managed.

If anyone is interested can you send me a PM with your MSN/Windows Live email address to add you to that. I will NOT add until we have our minimum amount of players so we don't sit on each others lists wondering what's going on. I will however send a mail back confirming I have received your's.

In the event of more than 20 people applying I will be working on a 1st come 1st served basis and will start a waiting list for those who were not quick enough.

Teams will be selected via a draw therefore if you are given a rival team of yours I can only apologise, unfortunately I do not have a cam so you will be asked to trust the draw I make.

I will be using a timed force continue of 1 minute after 30% of people have continued in the transfer windows and 30 seconds after 30% when the transfer windows are shut.

Finally, in the event of a waiting list I will be setting a 3 strike and out ruling for people that have been selected to play and do not play for "un-authorised" reasons.

I have tried to be fair with this and lay out the basic rules of how I want to host this game so no-one can join and say they didn't know about this rule or know about that rule and cause any problems.

Hope to hear from at least 15 of you in the near future

im interested in playing a network game - but im not 100% sure how they work? do we all have to be online at particular times and play together or what? and whats the timing things with the transfer window you was on about?

i would be intereste what times days u playin and wouldnt it be really slow though m8

I need help. Please!
My wife of 19 yrs and I play a massive multi-player online roleplaying game. We've played for 2 years. We sit in different rooms in the house and hang out with different people in the online game world as our playing styles are very different (she likes to joke around; socalize, I'm more serious). One of her online friends (known to me and whom I liked as he was similiar to me) and her have grown closer to the point of saying they love each other. My wife has traded a few pics with this man who is in a struggling marriage of his own. He has 2 kids, we have 4.

@ thorton, we will need to be online at the same time as each other. There is a setting in the options to turn on a force continue where after a certain amount of people have clicked continue it will count down and once that has finished everyone else will be made to continue whether they are ready or not.

@dassaspurs, times and days can be arranged if we get as far as creating it and yes it will be slow during the transfer windows admittedly but once they close it will speed up. I have been involved in a game like this before and it was alot slower than if you play on your own naturally but is great fun

You could have avoided that by keeping her in the ******* kitchen rather than allowing her to have man fun. Now you are screwed, she will run off with Ron (the other guy) and leave you to look after the 4 children.

On-Topic: the will be massive lag with a 20 man game, so I doubt that this will be successful.

I can't see that there will be much more lag than in last years version that I was involved in a game like this with, admittedly there was some lag but wasn't enough to be a game breaker

Success of this massive network game depends on a good organization. Forced continue is a nice feature in order to smooth network game play. Of course there are many obstacles for success such as internet speed (lag, etc.), hardware failures (CPU temperatures or RAM issues) of the network players. But in the end, this will be a real enjoyment for the participants and the most realistic one.
