Massive Massive Problem!!!!!

my worst nightmare has come true. i was playing a champo game on my laptop but a problem occured on the laptop so it had to go in to be repaired. i made a copy of my saved game just incase they wipped my hard drive. i then installed FM2006 onto my dads computer and moved the saved game into the appropiate folder (my documents/sports interactive/football manager 2006/games) and when i loaded up FM and went to load game it said it was unable to load my game!!! If there is a solution to this please tell me!!!! many thanks

Was the saved game under a different patch?

i dont think so. would there be any other reason why it would say this?

Can't think of any other reasons apart from not having the right patch.

Another reason might be if your computer crashed during a save. In this case your save file is damaged and is probably unrestorable...
