Match Engine changes on patch 12.1/12.1.1

Hi guys, my friend who I'm playing a network game with (have been since the game was released) seems to think that the ME changes regarding shots on target haven't been applied as the save is ongoing. He says he thinks the game is a little unbalanced as his team are missing sitters or the opposition keeper is having a blinder etc. I have noticed the changes myself and i think that everything is working fine.


So basically my question is, Do the ME changes from the patches (specifically finishing) apply even though the save is in progress?

Yes, although there has been no changes to the ME between 12.1 and 12.1.1

Yea i should have just said 12.1 because i know that's the only patch with changes to the engine, but thanks anyway TBH.
