I have created three tactics from scratch using the 'classic' custom slider method. I have found these tactics to be highly effective.

The tactics consist of attack, balanced and defend.

Balanced should be the most used tactic and should be used for all close odds games.

Defend should be used against superior sides where you expect to lose the battle for possession but feel you can hurt teams on the break.

Attack should be used against sides who park the bus or in matches where you are clear favourites.

For people who use the tactics creator and dont understand how classic tactics work Attack relates to an attack formation/tactic in the Tactics Creator, balanced would relate to a standard tactic and Defend would relate to a counter tactic.

Here are some screenshots of the league table and the tactic itself.

Here are some of the key positions in the tactic, and the type of players you will need to fill these roles.

MCR - Playmaker - Needs to be your creative midfielder (Go into set pieces and add him as your play maker)

FC'd - Deep Lying Forward - Needs to be strong and link play between midfield and attack

STr - Advanced Forward - Spearhead of the attack, breaking the defensive line, moving into channels, holding up the ball if needed till support arrives.

Here are some youtube clips of the team in action. This will give you an idea of the power of this set of three tactics.

EDIT ok it just seems to show the goals, and takes an age to upload so there will only be this one clip for now.

I do all team talks myself, and i still believe these play a key role in getting 100% from your players.

I use opposition instructions. I show all players onto weaker foot, hard tackle anyone with 10 bravery or below. I also hard tackle any creative players particuarly a winger central midfielder or striker.

I'm pretty sure you will find instant success with these tactics. I'd really appreciate some feedback on them.
Here is V2 of my tactic set.

Changes

*Adjusted Crossing settings for all three tactics to improve crossing completion rate
*Adjusted 'Balanced' closing down settings to ensure more pressure is applied in midfield

Nice to see you post your tactics here to. Cheers !

I also see that you used Bristol Rovers in testing just like I did with my tactics :D

Everything looks great about this set other than the focus passing. Could you explain this further please and tell me the thinking behind it.

Hello again. :D

Yes. All passing throughout the tactic is down the right side for several reasons. The right sided central players, MCr and SCr are more advanced mentality wise than the MCL (defensive mid) and STL (deep lying forward). They also have higher creative freedom amongst other settings like off the ball. The wingers are on the same mentality as the advanced striker (SCr). The result of focusing play through your most advanced mentality players are that you create more chances. Also with this setup you will quite often find the Midfielder left breaking late from deep and getting on the end of a lot of crosses from the right side. I have a left winger that likes to cut inside and arrive late in the opponent area so he gets a lot of goals for my team.

Forgot to say guys dont forget to go to set pieces and set the MCr as your playmaker.
