hello was just wondering if anyone had any advice i am trying to improve my media handling but it never goes up percentage wise what is the best way to improve this i always do my interviews and respond the best way possible any help on this i would be grateful

Ive always wondered this - I assumed it was to do with the way you answer the questions, but I've tried all different methods. My current game, I've gone from 50% down to about 20% in one season...I think I'm going to call this 'The Guardiola Approach'...

haha i know the feeling i have done two press conferences only two and yet i have dropped 4% already

Do you guys vary your approach much? Do you use No Comment a lot? I don't think I've seen mine drop at all. I always answer calmly and typically try to answer the question. I use No Comment when they ask me to pick out a weak link or when they want me to comment on a transfer rumor about one of my players.

I often wonder what actual impact there is. If you refuse to answer or are always a jerk, do they start more rumors? If you answer negatively about club, owner, team, does that get back to those offended?

.
Unless it is a rival I no comment the same things you mentioned. Sometimes you will get a bunch of "the public will want a proper answer."

Same here - 95% of the time answer calmly and only otherwise if its something I don't want to talk about, usually transfers

I've now been sacked twice for my media handling after being in charge for less than 3 months. In both cases I took over with teams in the bottom half of the National League and was sacked with teams just outside the playoffs. In the last case I decided to track my media handling and what I found was that my media handling would jump up to 10% after a press conference. Great, except in non-league press conferences are 1 every 3 or 4 games. So over the course of those 3 or 4 games it would drop down to 1-2%. If I made a mistake in one of the rare press conferences and it only jumped up to 6 or 7% I faced a meeting with the board and ultimately the sack.

How the heck do I get out of this spiral? It's ruining the game!

I'm at 97% for media handling. I'm currently managing Juventude in Serie B (Brazil).

The Brazilian media is brutal though. Every member of the media is devious or deceitful and 90% of them hate me lol.

I use a lot of "no comment" and the middle "evasive" selections.
