Hi,

I'm in 2016 now, 6 months until Messi's contract expires, and I have it set so my assistant deals with all the contract stuff, but Messi keeps turning down my offers as well has his. He won't accept any lower than 325k, the max I can offer him is 275k. Even with a wage budget 1.8m higher than I'm using (total of 4.3m available).

What can I do, and what would you suggest?? :/

Thanks

Off load some players so you can afford his demands. A £2.5m wage budget is still ridiculous.

Tell him to stop being a greedy *****?

Seriously, offer him other incentives like goal bonus, appearance bonus, after so many goals a pay rise??

Whaaa?? I've got a total of 4.3m wage budget, maxed out. I'm only using 2.5m of it. Its just the maximum they'll let me offer I think.... :/

Make sure he has a massive agent bonus. They tend to be the greedy ones.

offer other stuff like big signing on fees agent fees ect.

Give him and his agent high sign on fees... Should lower his wage by at least 50-100k.

Agent's tend to be more liable to accept an offer if they get a bigger fee

Yeah, so sell some players so you don't have a £2.5m wage budget and you'll be allowed to offer more. Clearly if they limit you at £275k p/w, they don't want you going more. If you reduce the wage budget, they'll probably allow you to offer more. Christ's knows how you're spending that much anyway.

I've tried every other bonus, and I can't afford to get rid of any players... :/ All the loan players I sent out were 0% wages... DAYUM!

agent fee the big one give him as much as possible and also goal bonus appearence bonus even maybe a wage rise?

Ahh, wage rise may be a good call. I shall see!! Thanks guys. I'll report back sometime. It'll be either he's been released on a free, or I've got some hench 5 year MEGA deal!

I thought the problem was that you couldn't offer more than £275k though? Have you already converted your transfer budget to wage budget?

Yeah, It's up to max wage budget, at 4.3m allowed. So 1.8m is free (supposedly). :-(
