Here's a fun 4-2-2-2 that is working with Crystal Palace and Barca, so it seems to work for big and small teams (H)

Your AM is the assist man and AP a creative force, and both strikers should score a fair bit.

Crystal Palace is top after 7 games with zero losses.

On the other hand, if you actually have a good team, well, you should just cruise...Barca has 0 losses and only allowed 1 goal so far.

I've tried it on Overload instead of Attack too - works well, if you don't mind giving up goals, you'll probably score 6 or 7 most games.

Set pieces are important, so make sure all boxes are checked (except the goalie) and set up like this:

I haven't used any OI's. If you like them, give it a try with OI, maybe it'll be even better!

Looks cool dude, do you have any manual marking on your strikers or amc?
I figured, maybe they are marking opponent full backs?

And who takes the corners?
 
Don't take this the wrong way dude, but to claim a tactic works after playing only 7 matches and one of them even a draw with Barca ;) is a little misleadig? Im not saying it is a bad tactic just saying I think more people will use it if you have more to show that 2 x 7 matches :)

Are you serious? You released a tactic yesterday that was only tested with Barca after 19 games so....at least I tried it with Crystal Palace too (H)

I didn't realize there was a rule to posting tactics.

I don't do any manual marking. You can try - it might help.

Defenders take the corners generally. LB or RB.

I said don't take it the wrong way ;) just saying I personally would never use a tactic with only 7 games played.. There is no rules it was just a friendly advice :)

And normally I would never release with only half a season but with 19 wins out of 19 and 94-7 it looked like it was doing okay
 
Have to give this a try, if only 'cos the first time I saw this formation in FM, it was an attempt to replicate Brazil '82!
Kinda had a soft spot for a 4-2-2-2 ever since.
 
Sorry to gravedig but can someone please confirm that the set piece instructions posted above are what are known as "MessiLeo's setpieces" please? If not, where can I find them? Thanks.

Also, do you set it to deliver to near post, far post, penalty spot, short, etc?

people need to test there tactics longer before posting at least a season thats what i do gives u a clearer picture of what to expect .
