Following the resignation of ****ne Wenger, Arsenal have announced his replacement just 24 View attachment 280082hours later, with Ex-German International Michael Ballack taking over the reigns at Emirates.

With the shock of their most successful manager, Arsenal fans will surely put pressure on their new gaffer.
Ballack enjoyed a successful career with Bayern Munich and Leverkusen, and has experience in England, playing for Chelsea between 2006 and 2010. He has also played 98 games for Germany, scoring 42 goals in the process.
Ballack announced at the press conference that he is delighted to be the manager of Arsenal and it was in fact Arsene Wenger who suggested him to the board.

Ballack: I've known Wenger for a long time and he knew I wanted to get into management. He called me up saying he was going to resign from Arsenal as he feels he can't achieve more and he said he put my name forward to the board, for that I am greatful.
He also said he is looking to bring in a lot of players, with major stars from Germany topping his list.



Arsenal Transfer News

following the appointment of Michael Ballack, Arsenal have been busy in the market.

They have loaned out wonderkid Francis Coquelin to their affiliate FC Lorient, as well as youngster Jernade Meade to League 2 side Barnet.

Also, they have sold their record signing Andrei Arshavin to Italian Champions Juventus for a fee of £4,100,000, £10.9 Million less then they bought him 4 years ago.
When Arshavin first arrived, many people thought he would be a success following his performances at Euro 2008, but after a decent season, he slowly started to decline and found his way to the Arsenal exit door.

Arsenal's youth
have also brought in a player, Alejandro Rubio joined from Sevilla, costing The Gunners £2,600,000 for the 18-year-old.

Chamakh could be leaving Arsenal soon, with 2 offers from Borussia Dortmund and FC Twente, both loan deals with an agreed fee.

Theo Walcott is currently negotiating a contract with Chelsea after a £19,750,000 offer was accepted.

Demba Ba could be wearing Red next season, as Arsenal activate the Newcastle striker's buy-out clause of £7,000,000.

Fernando Muslera could also join Arsenal, after Galatasaray negotiated a deal with them, which Arsenal have countered.

Robert Lewandowski and
Stevan Jovetic have both had offers from Arsenal, with just a reply awaiting the deals from happening.


2 In, 2 Out


Arsenal have managed to sign two players, as well as get rid of another 2.

The first player to join was Demba Ba, after Michael Ballack activated his clause of £7,000,000 and Ba was heading to North London.
Ba first made his name in England, joining West ham for a 6 month stint, scoring 7 goals in 12 games. His talent caught the attention of Newcastle, and they snapped him up, in the 2011/12 season, Demba Ba scored 16 goals, and made a great partnership with Papiss Cisse, but when Arsenal found out about the Clause, they were quick to react.

The next to join was Fernando Muslera from Galatasaray, The Uruguayan goalkeeper joined the Gunners for £11,500,000.
Muslera was part of the Uruguayan team that won the 2011 Copa America, as well as winning the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana, before joining Galatasaray and winning the Turkish Premier League.

But Arsenal had two exits, the first of them being Theo Walcott joining Rivals Chelsea for a fee of £19,750,000.
Walcott joined for £9,000,000 in 2006 as a unknown 16-year-old from Southampton, but quickly developed into the first team.
6 years later he has decided to move on to bitter rivals, with Arsenal fans will surely be unhappy about.

Following Walcott out of Emirates was Moroccan striker Marouane Chamakh, joining Borussia Dortmund on loan on a £60,000 per month deal with a £5,000,000 buy-out clause.


BREAKING NEWS:
Arsenal have announced the signings of Robert Lewandowski and Stevan Jovetic for a joint fee of £39,500,000.

Robert Lewandowski joined from Borussia Dortmund for £5,000,000 upfront then £17,000,000 for 4 years. Lewandowski was a key player for Borussia Dortmund, joining them in 2010. he was player of the season last season, scoring 22 goals and a hat-trick in the German Cup final, attracting many clubs in the process and Arsenal were on hand to pick him up.

Stevan Jovetic was also picked up by the Gunners, this time for £16,500,000. He also made a name for himself with impressive performances, and many teams wanted to snap him up including Chelsea, Barcelona and Manchester City, but Arsenal were first to him and he joined them.






 
Lewandowski & Jovetic cost 38.5m not 39.5 (17+5 = 22 +16.5 = 38.5)
