Micky Adams has revealed that he will transfer-list the whole squad after Port Vale lost 3-1 to Notts County this afternoon.
The manager revealed that all players in his Valiants squad will now be available for transfer, following what he described as a hugely disappointing display.
"We conceded from a corner, a free kick and a penalty. That tells its own story," said Micky.
"We can't afford to give goals away like that when we come to a place like this. That's disappointing.
"Forget what has been going on at Notts County. It was quite simple - they have good players and you have to have people who are willing to stand up and be counted. I didn't think we had enough of that today - I thought we flattered.
"I am bitterly disappointed for the supporters as they deserved more today. The squad will be transfer -listed on Monday morning. I have told them all already. We will see how good they are.
"They are lucky - they have a fantastic profession and I don't think they have given it their all.
"It's not a personal thing. I can sit back and accept what's gone on and give as many excuses as you want me to, but it's papering over the cracks. We said all along when we first came into the club that the majority of the budget was spent and there wasn't a lot I can do - but now I can do something. If we get offers - whether that be free transfers or whatever - and it allows me to bring a type of player that I want to bring in, then let's do it.
"It might be dramatic but we will see. The fan aren't daft - we will see by their performances how much they want to play for this football club.
"It's my job to try and bring out the best in the players and today was a fantastic stage. If you can't get yourself motivated for a game of this magnitude, it's not right. Everybody has had their chance. Come on boys - let's start performing."
Micky revealed that his only aim is long-term success for Port Vale Football Club.
"I love my job. I want to be successful and I want the Port Vale supporters to be proud of their side. They came in their numbers today and spent lots of money and we gave them that performance - that's not good enough."
I don't know about anyone else, but I think Micky's gone a bit mad. Haha
