in the uest to get middlesbrough back to the prermier league new manager Josh Blades has taken the helm at the riverside stadium and promises the board and fans around the north east that the former uefa cup finalists will again be back in the premier league.
after relegation had crushed boro's hopes of climbing up the premier league middlesbrough were forced to sell some of thier prized assests and make do with what they had and what they could bring in.
as the first act in control of this small north-eastern club manager josh blades took an almighty gamble by selling every striker at the club due to poor scoring, the first player to be shown the door was 12 pounds worth afonso alves and after selling him to shaktar donesk for 9.5 million. shortly after the departure of alves it was time to sell tuncay sanli for 5 million to tottenham and sold aliadiere to fulham for 3 million.
now with a transfer budget of 23 million it was my job to make sure i had brought in some goal scorers and somehow i managed to sign brazilian wonderkid keirrison for 10 million and robert lewandowski for 1 million.
after deciding to keep my midfield apart from the departure of downing to aston villa, i decided the next best thing to do was to deepen my squad with the signing of rafael carioca and zoran tosic i decided my midfield looked pretty good for a championship side with already having the likes of mark yeates and adam johnson and didier digard, but after looking through the youngsters of the championship i decided to take a gamble in the signing of adam lallana from southampton.
to help bolster my defence for this long season i had coming up i secured the signature of belletti for 3.7 million on a 2 year deal and then i also signed joe mattock from leicester city for 5 million.
my pre season games were to easy to judge my squad haing played the likes of exeter city and oxford winning these games 5-0 8-1.
my first game of the season was away to derby county and with a fully fit squad this was how i lined up

i wont this game with a 2-0 win goals coming from hoyte and yeates. and just finished my next game against stockport in the league cup with a comfortable 4-0 win. i will keep fm-base up to date ith how my season goes and hopefully manage to add some screenshots
