HI i am having some trouble setting up a 4-5-1. I know there are many threads about this, but i wanted my tactic to be perfect. I have three fantastic midfielders, who are all relatively young. I play an fluid attacking 4-5-1(4-3-3)
Infront of the midfield i play with two inside forwards(attack) and one deeplying forward(attack).

How would you set up this midfield?

First I'd like to say that Marlon looks like a quality player, great tackling, stamina, passing, etc!!

To answer your question, in my opinion I would play Marlon and Crisetig both in the DM position, but with Crisetig as a DLP, and Marlon as a DM.

For Kovacic I'd play him as in the AM position, as an Attacking-Midfielder or a Trequerista, To decide, I would have a look at your assistant-managers report on him.

Hope this helped :)

EDIT: Also, I would train Kovacic's Long shots up :D

Unless they have some conflicting ppms, I would play them like this in your 451 formation

DMC -. DLP on Support - Cristig
MC - Ballwinner on Support - Marlon
MC - Advanced playmaker on support/attack.

If wanting tio be more patient and cautious, then just use e DLP/defend, BW/defend and CM/support
