Midfielders all clump together when in possession how can I stop this?

As above really, I play three in middle but when we get the ball in midfield they seem to stick tight together meaning passing is ineffective- any advice how to get them to spread out?

I play a regista (s) with an advanced playmaker and a DLP or Box to Box alongside.

too many play makers, you only really need the one, DLP or AP would do, change regista to anchorman for some added defence and to provide balls to your playmaker.

You've three players all fighting to be the "playmaker". No one is looking to create options. Switch to two CM's and 1 playmaker (pick roles based on who'd play best int hoes positions)

Thanks guys for advice I'll get to tweaking it I guess that explains my lack of service to strikers too?
