Milan player is completely idiot!!!

First of all, i'm a big fans of Milan.. so that must means i play with milan as my team in FM.

What **** me off is that every times i'm dealing with fast player, all my defender just play completly idiots.. Well the teams that beat me wasn't big names in serie a like juve or inter but the medioker teams like udinese, parma or sampdoria...

It seems that all of teams that i mention above got superbly unbelievable pass through that make their striker or att mid got the ball and ended up in front of the GK...


Not to mention i hace to deal with Liverpool in champions league, where Torres beat 2 of my defender (outrun them) and ended with superbly placed shot in the right corner of my goalie..

Wtf.. anyone here can help me set up a better defender to deal with pass through and striker like Torres, who seems have everything in FM (Technique, Pace, Speed, Dribble).. Oh and he also set up his team second goal by passing through a pass too Gerrard where none of my defender can defend it...

Why they never get offside trap?? my Milan also oftenly got offside too... so it's official that Milan is screw up in FM 2010. Even though they got amazing skill on their stat...

Don't play offside and/or drop your defensive line a bit deeper​

The only problem is i keep finding Torres unmarked when he received through ball from his teammates... so my biggest problem is my defender are just not clever enough too def against liverpool through ball...

I keep loading my games with liverpool cos i'm just curious why i can't beat them...(i know this is cheating) but the result is still the same... 5-0, 5-2, 5-1, 3-0 or my best result is 2-1 for liverpool...

sometimes in the games my team scored first and suddently liverpool with their magic through ball send the ball in front of my goalie, where none of my defender guard them and GOAL...

or Gerrard with his scarry long shot outside of the penalty area and BANG!! goal again...

I just had no idea how to def against liverpool. They play with 4-2-3-1 formations, so that means (liverpool formation)

any suggestion how to beat them???? btw my problem is

play your defenders kind of deep and set your wide midfielders to automatic it stops their full backs from making any passes and makes them help out your defence. It works wonders for me.

Clearly not paying attention to the sort of tactics Milan need to play to be successful. I'm currently walking Serie A in my first season.

Tip - Play Pato as a complete forward, hes a goal machine for me!

Try this -

Man-mark Torres with your best DC. Select man-marking from the defender's individual player instructions to target Torres. OI 'Tight Mark' him and put him on his weaker foot. For tackling, I'd suggest 'Easy' to prevent him getting freekicks, but 'Hard' might be a good option if you think you might injure him without getting your DC sent off... Close down always might be a good idea too.

Play at least one DMC. A real, honest DMC who can mark properly. Set him to man-mark Gerrard in his individual player instructions. Use OI to 'Tight Mark' him and put him on his weaker foot. Close down always might be an idea too - but make sure your DMC is of enough quality that Gerrard won't get free - because with close down always, if he does, then there'll be huge holes appearing as your DC moves forward to cover. Tackling I'd consider setting to easy for Gerrard, but it's a tough one.

For Babbel (playing left wing I presume?) - set his OI to 'close down rarely' if your fullback is being beaten for pace and set tackling to 'Easy'. Choose whether you think it's worse to have him putting crosses in the box or whether you want to push him inside. Personally I'd force him onto his 'left foot' using OI and risk the crosses.

In addition, I'd tell your defence to 'push higher up' using shouts, or push your defensive line higher in your tactics. The danger is balls over the top, but that's life and it's better than letting either Gerrard or Torres find space in front of your DCs.
