i'm trying to use a milan 4-3-1-2 tactic (3 mcs, 1 amc, 2 strikers) trying to realise ancelotti's tactics some years ago.. in my opinion the passing was through the middle, though due to my specific instructions too many (4 players) get move into channels.. at the 3 MC, seedorf as a central midfielder attack gets move into channels by the team engine (ok for that, i think seedorf was moving into channels as well), cassano as an attacking midfielder attack gets move into channels, ibra and inzaghi also move into channels.. whats exactly is translated at the match engine? will my team find a problem to pass through the middle? (for example, when you use the touchline instruction exploit the flanks, apart from the focus passing to the flanks, the match engine also makes more wide plays to move into channels, wouldnt it cause a problem if used the opposite?). i also wanted to use cassano as treq with run with ball, but seems to have run from deep to rarely, and i want him to score (also wide play: move into channels).
one other question, which is finally the best way to keep my old players fit? should the training scedules be focused at heavy trainings for high aerobic/strength or these players could be easily overloaded and it should be to medium training lowering tactics for higher physical? should also an improve attribute : quickness would help? or just would not worth his 10% of training?
and one last, how do you see milan defending in real life, translated to the match engine? about the press more instructions and man/zonal marking.. it seems zonal to me, i cant see a man-to-man, maybe gattuso sometimes but generally he runs all over the pitch to tackle, and the pressing is a little weird, the midfielders and defenders press but the attackers not? all the attackers also have low wark rates, ibra cassano robinho under 10 and pato something like 12.
