Hi there

Tell me, does this happen to anyone else: I play a game with, lets say 4-4-2, against a team and win with a very comfortable 2-0, but by accident, something happens to my save so that I have to play the game again. Walk in the park, right? I mean, I play the game with the same formation, same players, so does the opposition to, but this time I lose 2-0. Whenever this happens it gives me a feeling that the game is moslty about luck and not about your skills as a manager. The worst part of it all is when I play the game a third time and end up winning!

I can only say that I hope this problem will be a thing of the past in FM10... by the way, does anyone know when it will be released?:D

Never had that problem but it sucks.

FM10 will probable be reased aroud October, November not sure if there is an actuall release date yet.

Never had any problem with my save games really but i'd imagine every chance differs in the game, might of had two cases of shoddy defending and two easy missed chances for yourself. it happens.

yeah this stuff happens in real football so it should happen in the game. good teams lose games they should win. it's not the managers fault.

Yes, I know it happens in real life to and that it's not the managers fault, but what makes it so annoying is that the game sees a loss as your fault.

Its all based on that çlear cut chance thing, you dont need clear cut chances to score. Some times i have 5 clear cuts and get maybe one goal , then others i have no clear cut chances and get 2 goals. So far ive broken my keyboard , mouse and a chair playing this game after entering tantrum mode.

Yep Celtic beat St Mirren 7-0 then next week we play them in the cup and get beat.

Happened to me with Gateshead. I was 9 points clear but my game crashed and when I loaded my last save it was 6 games before and when I got to the same point I was 6 points in 2nd place. Which ultimately cost me promotion. Although in the 2nd season I won the league comfortably. Would have been nicer if I did it in the 1st though.

Real football is a game of chance (most times). Look at the players. Goalies kick the ball hard, they never look where they're sending it to. The headers that ensue all follow the simple algortyhm "head the ball forward", and very rarely it's directed to a specific point. A lot of times the strikers hit the ball without having looked where the goal, keeper or rivals are, he just kicks it and hopes it goes in.
