Misfiring striker? Try this and tell me if it works!

I had a striker who I bought for 12 million odd. He was 18 when I got him, with terrific stats (18 finishing etc). Brilliant I thought, but whenever I played him, he couldn't find the net. Eventually, I just left him on the bench after trying to get him to score (Grasso, Cardozo and Tulio De Melo were more likely to start that him anyway).

After that season, and just at the start of the next, I offered him a new contract with a 10 grand-per goal bonus. I'm not sure if it's a coincidence, but ever since then, he's scoring goals left right and center! Grasso and Cardozo can't find the net, Tulio De Melo just scored two so I think I'll give him a try, and this guy, Krevchenko, has been scoring for fun!

Five goals in seven games isn't bad for a guy who couldn't hit a barn door, is it?

Try it and see if it works, I think I may be on to something.

Well i have just done that with love even tho he is soreing he might score more ill let you no

i once done that with fernando morientes when i was bolton in my second season i give him a goal bonus of 12k and eventually he finished the season with something like 19 goals which i was quite happy

I think the specific team talk with strikers can make big difference aswell because sometimes they play like they dont even want to score.

I did the same with Chris Greenacre..
Started off with him constantly getting ratings of around 5.8 and hadnt scored in any of the 12 games i had played in the league, then i upped his goal bonus to the maximum i could offer and he finished with 22 goals
Might be a coincidence though :/
