MLS Woes.

I've just started a new game in the MLS with New England Revolution and no matter what i try, be it match prep. or different tactics we just can't seem to win anything, our defense is shipping in too many goals from winning position and out offense just isnt scoring as much as they need to. Does anyone have any advice on which tactics could work for me in the MLS given the fact that we're not the strongest side in there.
