Monaco-CB 1st Season

im currently in 1st season and coming up to january window, in desperate need of a good CB (maybe 2). ive got ?16m and been looking at phil jones, kara, and mbiwa.
What do you think of these guys and do you have any more suggestions cheers

To save ourself and yourself some time, what team are you playing as? And what defenders do you already possess?

Phil Jones is the best among them, but with only 16m I doubt you can afford him in a January transfer window.

Balanta is the CB version of recent FM's striker Fierro. He's young, he's cheap and he always deliver. I have never made a save without getting him.

How many non EU players do you already have? If you have crossed the limit, try for Samuel Umtiti/Phil Jones/Rafael Varane (if you can afford him now, he's a more realistic target for you in the summer). If you haven't used up the quota, then try for Balanta/Doria, both are ****** monsters.

I don't think you'll get Jones or Varane for cheap though, unless Man U are in real dire, dire straits..

unfortunatly ive met my EU quota already, balanta looks awesome but out injured for 3 months so mite have to be a summer signing.

Like I said, Umtiti is probably your cheapest option. And the best future option. Hummels would be the best option, but you won't be able to afford him now. Maybe try Holger Badstuber, if Bayern'll let go of him.. Inigo Martinez is another option, and should be within your price range. Maybe Victor Ruiz or Elaquim Mangala. Dejan Lovren is another option, although his stats sometimes vary, check that out. Shawcross and Yanga-M'Biwa are other players who could be in your price range..

Zouma? I got him for Marseille for about 12million end of 1st season.

Milosevic from AIK (Sweden) who is available for around 0.4 million at the beginning but I've never bought him in the Jan window isn't a bad defender for a club like Monaco. Umtiti and Zouma (Lyon and Etienne) are very good as well but far more expensive than Milosevic. You could try to get Dier (Sporting) and Rugani (Empoli) especially the latter who's available on a free at the beginning of the game.
