***FROM MR HOUGH ON SI FORUMS, ALL HIS CREDIT!***

I know it’s taken me a long time to develop this tactic and hopefully it’s justified in the performances your team will have.

I have been working on this tactic it seems for months i am a perfectionist and i don’t want to release a tactic that i don’t think will bring a degree of success to people.

FORMATION AND PLAYERS SETTINGS

The formation itself is a narrow 4-1-2-1-2 and uses fullbacks to get up the wing and provide width this also helps massively with the attacking side as the Strikers’ stay more central not always but allot more than they have been doing.

The AMC is the main playmaker in the team and he will link up with the midfield and strikers, the strikers are on through balls often and you can really tell this when the AMC bursts into the box late like Paul Scholes Bryan Robson Steven Gerrerd play. He will get quite a few goals for you but it will be the strikers who will bang them in the most.

The central midfielders are on attacking and the will push the opposition back into their own half I would suggest Hard Working Physical players here like a Fellani Veluso Palasios Rodwell type of player, Them types will excel here.
The Midfielders are on mixed passing I had experienced with Short and direct but thought mixed gave me the best results from a team and performance perspective, Also long shots is an advantage, On the settings long shots is set to Rarely but they will have a pop from outside the box so leave it on rarely but about 12-13 stat would be good.

The DM is the Engine of the team and he will act as a sweeper above the defence cutting out chances closing down the opposition, The DM will also provide some nifty passes as well and will look to put the opposition straight on the back foot when he receives the ball.

Central defenders is easy just defend lads do your job that’s it nothing else is required from the apart from trying to stop the opposition from scoring.

Fullbacks as I’ve said will go up and help the attack I think this is a good thing too because if the opposition tries to break and the opposition gets the ball to the wing the fullback is already in an advanced position to try and cut the ball out, Of course the flip side on this is that the opposition will skip past and attack the goal but I’ve honestly seen that happen very rarely so i don’t see it as a major risk.

The strikers will have a field day in the tactic i think technical strikers will be best suited so high flair pace off the ball technique skills will be a massive advantage.

Good stuff man will definetely be trying this out with my arsenal team. Have you got any picture to upload to give us a chance to see what its like?

The link to download the Tactic does not work . It keeps directing me to the homepage . Is there another link to this tactic ? It looks wicked and i want try it . Thanks

Seriously? Nobody realized this one without someone with credibility finally posting it to a forum?

I know it’s taken me a long time to develop this tactic
Seriously? Just grab the preset and put your players into the slots and give them any roles and you win games with the 4-1-2-1-2. Sure you can tweak and tweak all you want but you really don't need it.

Dunno what other people do when their (backup) wingers are 1½ star and they have loads of 3 star MCs lying about. First thing I did on my first save was just figure out how to put all the MCs in the pitch at the same time without relying in some totally rtarted formations. And then I found 4-1-2-1-2.
I'm sure a lof of people playing the game wanna keep it simple and never make their own tactics etc but come on atleast try to give it some effort. Its embarassing if someone actually has to point this one out to you.

edit:

So this aint just a rant, but actually has some content:
Instead of downloading tactics from the site try downloading and reading the tactical theorems and the small 5-page thingymabob that comes with it. It takes about 15 minutes to read it thru and maybe an hour if you give it a lot of focus.
It teaches you all you need to know about basics of football tactics and shows you that creating your own is: 1) quick 2) simple 3) fun 4) a heck of a more rewarding than relying on what other people do

Are you sure this is Mr Hough tactic?
This is probably thw worst tatic I have ever used, tested it with werder bremen, sporting CP and liverpool, and all I got is a lot of red cards, bad results and way too many long shots.

A **** of a lot of the users of this site are very competent in creating tactics and we get good results with our own tactics. You don't need to point out the superiority of narrow tactics in FM10, it's a well known fact.
The reason we use Mr Hough's tactics when they come out is because they are something else. I haven't tried this latest tactic yet but if you see the acclaim given to his previous tactics you can see how well they work. It's a bit of fun to use someone else's tactics now and again and the point of this forum is to give feedback to people to help them improve their own tactics.

Happy trolling.

I edited yours tacitc and I must say: with my modifications your tacitc is better than without it ;)
