I have decided to close all my other stories including ‘Anderson Silva from the UFC to EPL’ and ‘Scunthorpe The Rise of the IRON’ and concentrate on ‘My Story of a Career’ renamed Mr.T’s tremendous career, as it started becoming a bit strenuous continuing all the stories so I am going to put 100% effort into one story and make it Mr.T’s legacy. I have also acquired MS Word 2010 so the quality of my writing should also improve. If you do decide to follow please ‘Like’ this first comment so I can see that I am not just writing for nobody.

September 2018 Update

World Cup Special
images

The World Cup is always a great spectacle with each hosting nation trying its hardest to outdo the previous nation who held this prestigious event. For the qualifying nations they would try their hardest to walk away with the crown of best football nation in the world. From the first ever winners Uruguay and their 4-2 victory over Argentina in their backyard all the way to the winners of the 2014 World Cup Spain, the World Cup has been bringing joy to our summers every four years. It was the same again this year in the massive land mass of Russia an amazing tournament was played out

The World Cup Final

The final of the 2018 World Cup featured two teams with exciting players who always looked to score so it promised not to be a bore draw.

Portugal v France

Ben Arfa wins it in injury time – Quality over quantity
View attachment 41132

The match was played out b two teams more afraid to lose than brave enough to win the deadlock was finally broken on the 61st minute when Joao Moutinho scored from the penalty spot to give Portugal the lead. It was their first and only goal of the match, they failed to capitalise on their better possession and passing and only fashioned one real chance. France on the other hand really pushed on after conceding the first goal and Yoann Gourcuff equalised for France in the 71st minute. In typical World Cup drama fashion France grabbed a late great winner in the 4th minute of added time when Hatem Ben Arfa popped up to score. Cue scenes of jubilation and euphoria in Russia and Paris as Les Bleus hoisted the famous trophy for only the 2nd time in their history.

Life with Man City – Month of June

This was a pretty straight forward month as we were all on holiday. The Chairman and the board pulled together to treat all concerned with the club and families to an all-expenses paid trip to Dubai for a 2 week break. Sweltering heat and everyone player keeping their hands to their own missus (mini dig at John Terry) made for a perfect squad harmony boosting trip we even played a very informal and unpublicised friendly match against the UAE national team.

Life with Man City – Month of July

Back to football and this is where the hard work started. Back to training and everyone on their specific training schedules taken from the ideologies of Pompey_Dan and his baby Dan’s Training. We had 4 friendlies scheduled for this month but as usual, my assistant would take charge and follow the detailed plan I set out with some expressive nature allowed. I would then analyse the whole 90 mins and tell the squad what I want to improve on. Meanwhille I was also scouring every nation of the globe looking for undiscovered talent and also deciding what megastars I would add to the ranks to give the fans something to cheer about.

The friendlies we played and their results were as follows:
Slavia Prague (Away) 7-1
Barnsley(Away) 7-0
Bury(Away) 3-1
Plymouth(Away) 4-0

I wrapped up all my transfer dealings in this month with 6/7 completed by the 2nd of July and the last one a free transfer who I snapped up sharpish. The signings were as follows:

In

Shaun Wright-Phillips – A club icon who I resigned only for the reserves and to mentor the youth; £1.4M
View attachment 41144

Gonzalo Higuain – Needed a new challenge and R.Madrid offered him to me for an absolute steal; £16.5M
View attachment 41146

Giacomo Beretta – Fresh from the World Cup dream team I signed him over Pato as he was younger. I also like his name Beretta/Buretta, Has a chance/Loads the bullet, Swings back/***** the gun, Shoots/Shoots, Scores/Kills; £60M
View attachment 41147

Jack Rodwell – Well he proved his worth on the game with some excellent seasons and provided much needed bite in the middle and is English to boot; £32.5M
View attachment 41143

Andrew Robinson – A young left back, tender age of 16 and a great prospect and understudy to Ivan Fatic; £2.4M
View attachment 41141

Dan Campbell – When in need of young talent just look to Arsenal, I wanted a young English midfielder to understudy my midfield maestros; £3M
View attachment 41142

Hugo – This goalkeeper had been recommended to me countless times over the course of the year and when he was offered again in the summer I noticed he had left his club so I pounced; Free

Out

Mark Reed – A young DC I could care less about; £2.7M
Cardoso – I have no need for wingers in my squad; £18.5M
Joao Moutinho – Past the 30 year mark and has fallen of slightly; £8.25M
Giovani dos Santos – No need for wingers in my squad; £7.5M

Community Shield

12.08.2018 An easy win in a match we dominated passed well and took our chances
View attachment 41139

Barclays Premier League

18.08.2018 A very, very easy match never really got out of third gear and we tore up the Pompey defence like a hot knife through butter.
View attachment 41134

21.08.2018 The stats say it all we dominated the match just like the previous but for some reason we just couldn’t put the game to bed and as such I was on the edge of my seat the whole game.
View attachment 41137

25.08.2018 Yet again we are getting into the positions but not finishing off our chances, but to be fair to Wolves they did play some decent football and had some good chances but Hugo was In fine form.
View attachment 41128

01.09.2018 Before the game Hugo has said he had trouble adjusting to UK life but I said give it one more game then if it doesn’t work out I’ll let you have a month off but it was evident from the game that his hear wasn’t in it. He gave away 2 sloppy goals and Chelsea failed to break us down properly once but that coupled with our impotency in front of goal gave us a 2-1 loss at home.
View attachment 41138

15.09.2018 Typical story of our season so far, pass well, create opportunities, but score only once. It will affect the team and I am trying to amend it. Still a win is a win.
View attachment 41140

22.09.2018 Dominated from start to finish and really played like we were champions. We could have even scored more.
View attachment 41136

29.09.2018 We had loads of shots without really creating anything clear cut, but when we did we finished them and took our 3 points back to Manchester
View attachment 41129

Champions League

19.09.2018 I knew it would come back to haunt us. We failed to wrap up the match and as such Sporting CP snatched an injury time equaliser.
View attachment 41130

League Cup

26.09.2018 Scored two and we had mainly youngsters on the field bar so I was pleased with the performance.
