Hey guys,

So just started a save with United. Have started fairly well, I signed Raphael Varane with the goal of playing him and Smalling in the future - good/bad move? Also I asked my board to sign Modric for me - is that wise as well to have your board step in? Not too sure what effect it has on your finances.

In the league, we are unbeaten, Won 5 drawn 2, with a 3-2 win away at Arsenal.

In terms of tactics- I feel like I do OK at home, and have just started using a 4-1-2-2-1 tactic, with Carrick as a DMC, Modric and Fletch CMS, Nani and Valencia wide and hernandez up front.
Any other ideas,

Thanks

I play a very flat 4-4-2 with Utd, Pretty standard, First season, Make one big signing( i made bale, but Modric is alright) and you should still win the league, Release Scholes and VDS will retire, Replace him with Adler and then just make squad signings, looking for the occassional superstar on the cheap.

Dont let players rep get the better of you, when it is time to let a player go, let them go, whether it is Vidic, Rio, Evra or anyone.

Pretty solid advice. Though I play with a 4-2-2-2 with Valencia on the attacking right wing and Bale on the left. Rodwell and Carrick in midfield... Rooney and Hernandez up front. The defence has Evra-Vidic-Pique-Santon.
Paulo Henrique, Nani and Neymar are facilitated into the team occasionally.
