Multiple playmakers

It depends on what you're over all goal and aim is. You have both your play-makers operating in the same space here though so I'd be afraid they both will try to occupy the same positions, get in each-others way and leave gaps for the opposition to exploit on the counter.

I often play two play-makers in midfield but I do it with a Left-footed and Right-Footed pair meaning they create chances for their respective wings. Means I have to play a Defensively minded Midfielder since they are not concerning themselves with defensive positioning in case of a turn-over.

Yeah I think I just saw that in action...3 goals conceded in 15 minutes from counter attacks :'(

Personally i don't like playing using 2 + play makers

I like the Cabaye/Tiote style partnerships

Any suggestion on how to change my current DM? He was originally a bwm placed in the midfield but wanted to try pull him down to give my playmaker more space and try to sort out defence a bit since it tends to be punished from miss-passes and interceptions.

I use 3 amc playmakers, 2 outside set to ATT and the central one set to DEF. They keep the ball ridiculously well and play each other in (along with providing sweet through balls for a poacher upfront. So long as you have a BWM somewhere in your team you should be alright.
(and before any editor haters come a-hatin' I use the editor to create tycoon-style LLM saves before getting bored with them and coming back to this save aha)

shouldn't use a BWM in the DM position, they are too far back, they are really only supposed to be in the CM area Half back or anchor are far superior options.

I use a single Playmaker, always in the CM positions for me, attacking playmaker for home games, DLP for away games, he is accompanied by BWM and a B2B CM. Works really well in my experience.

What are your player instructions for that formation?

I use a DLP(D) in left central midfield and an AP(A) in the attacking midfielder position. I have "move into channels" and "roam from position" instructions for the AP and he does brilliantly, as he has the freedom to go to whatever unexploited space there is. The DLP is simply to keep tempo and his defensive mentality means he also provides some cover for the more attacking left back due to the presence of an inside forward in the right wing.

Used to use the Regista/Half Back 2DM combination but conceded a lot fewer goals once I switched to the Regista/BWM.

I would do a tactic thread but I'm still working on the set pieces as I can't seem to get them right since the patch.
Results so far this season (considering I switched to this tactic in my last 5/10 games in the previous season):

Best result in terms of quality of football and performance highlighted.
Struggle at home a bit but only in terms of conversion of chances.

Hope this helps!
