My 50m Challenge

Recently me and few others are puting together a network game after our current one ends, we each get to create a team and start with 50m with the objective of staying up. We have to buy a whole squad that can survive in the prem.

I want to share with you my "single" season where i will play alone and try to make up a squad with this amount of money. I challenge you to do the same and show your progress on here.

The rules are.

If during your reign in the first season you recieve a board change, then simply quit the game and do so until your chairman status is loves the club. you will only get one if your chairman status is listen to offers. I am puting this rule is place because i have just been through one, luckily it didnt go through but, i am now facing the prem with 2 first team players shorter than i wanted to be.

When creating a club you can't make them a super team, just simply name them and other details like nickname and so on.

20,000 stadium size limit.

reputation of maximum 6000.

training - Maximum of 17

no choosing chariman of staff, the game will give you a chairman assistant and so on, you may change your staff during the game.

give you team a balance of 60m

budget of 50m

and wage budget of 500k

you may only select "avoid relegation" as your target for other targets give you more than 50m.

after the first season it is your choice to choose your own targets.

those are the rules...

would love it if at least one person would try this and share there infomation on here =]

the reason im leaving a little bit left over is for either january transfers or extra money for a player in a position that costs a little more than my budget

you may budget your team however you like, but it is easier to do what i just did and figure out a plan first.

ive decided to sign all my subs and reserves first

You have got me interested, Will start this tonight.

Now to think of a super cool team name instead of work :P
 
um ye just go on data editor, give yourself 60m balance, 50m budget, 500k wage budget, 6000 reputation, 20,000 capactiy stadium, 17 training, and the rest you can choose yourself =] (all the stats like reputation are based of fulhams)

Everyone trying will need to replace the same team in the prem with their team as some people may replace Hull will others may replace Man u.

So who should my team replace?
 
it really doesnt matter who you replace.

if you replace united, there is still every possibility that you could of beat united and can still lose to sunderland so ye... lol

no dont choose any staff, the game will give you a chairman, you can offer contracts to other staff members during the game
 
Ok i have two questions.

1.if i get rid of say Fulham, they will be in a nothing league which in turn will lower there players value's so i could sign Andy Johnson for a bit cheaper etc

what is everyone view on that

2. we start off with 50m but would it be cheating then asking the board for more money?
 
yep, u can only have 50m, no asking board untill 2nd season, the players value of the team you sent down do not change. and nor does the likeliness of them signing because they still have the same reputation as you
 
Sounds like a great idea to me, I will definitely be giving it a go in the next few days. We should have ourselves some sort of League Table for who comes in what position at the end of the season obviously with proof needed from screenshots! And you should get working on some rules for the 2nd season :P

Managed to start last night as 'Harchester United' :P only played like 2 weeks but i signed all my staff and a few players

feeling good about Lobont in goal and having Ball and Zebina on the wings. The rest are my back up and rotation players i have signed so far.
