Alright folks! In my 2nd season with Arsenal and i've found that there starting to struggle to find the net. Im only four games into the second season so I thought I would try and discover/fix the problem before getting further ahead.

I won the league in my first season but I noticed that in the last five games or so, we started to score less each game. I brought in some new players to strengthen the squad and allowed others to leave to try and win the league again but more convincely. Although, my recent results show the poor quality in finishing (Home - 1-0 win over WBA), (Home - 1-1 draw with Liverpool), (Away - 2-1 win over Birmingham), (Away - 3-1 win over Bolton).

It might seem not bad results, but in each and everyone of those games my teams had 20+shots. The liverpool game I had 27 shots and they had 6! Both goals in the game was OGS! Is starting to get frustrating, is there anything you can suggest to try and make them score more often?

My current strikers are - Babacar, Van Persie, Abel Hernandez, Muir (Database creation)
Current formation - 4-4-1-1
Previously used formation (1st season) - 4-4-2 diamond

Go back to your previous formation if that worked for you last season mate

Try the touchline shout "Work Ball Into Box". That way you'll sacrifice the number of shots but your players will only go for goal when they're really confident of scoring

I have seen someone try getting morale Superb by playing against your Reserves/ Under 18's when you have a break of matches, it seemed to had worked so could try that or go by what Average Joe mentioned ?

Personally, I would be happy with those results. I deliberately set out to get as much possession as possible, which means lots of time spent camped around the opponent's box, which means lots of blocked shots or shots over the bar when someone gets bored of passing it around. So in my last season I routinely got similar results to yours - against an average side 20+ shots, 5-6 that actually look dangerous, 1 or 2 goals, the odd draw or loss when the other team gets lucky and takes one of the few chances they're given. I just won the double in Italy that way with Juventus so that approach does pay off.

If your strikers are missing chance after chance and getting sub-7 performance scores - well, you don't need me to tell you to rotate them, but it's always a matter of luck whether you have one in form.

How many of your actual shots are clear cut? Chance creation may be the problem not the taking of them.

tell the lad to work teh ball into box. and change mentality to attacking

I'm arsenal and just about to finish my second season and it happen to me aswell a was playing a 4-2-3-1 but changed it to a 4-3-3 and it done the trick and work the ball into the box thing works aswell.

Works best. But, set the Attacking/Counter and all that setting differently, depending on the opposition. A top 4 team i suggest Standard.. a mid table team control.. Bottom 4 team Attacking. Normally works.

Nothing wrong about ur tactic, it's FM problem. Everybody is having problem in converting chance too, even in my save Gonzalo Higuain (a player with 19 finishing and 18 composure) missed lots of one on one too.
