Hey, quite new to posting on this forum but have been watching and reading for a while now :) Just finished up previous saves on FM which have been:
Getting QPR to Mid table Prem status.
Everton to win league and FA Cup in 2 years.
Wolves promoted.
Torquay up to league 1 in 3 years.
Rounded all those off and am now concentrating alot on my new save. Bolton.

So I joined the club and basically looked over what he have. I was quite pleased with the squad and decided on only bringing in 2-3 players. Basically to add depth to the midfield. Got given 6.5m to spend to achieve mid table finish. With this I made 2 additions to the squad. Steven Defour from Standard (5.5m) and Mota from Seougnam (3m). Adjusted budget a bit to allow it to all happen.

Then decided to chop my assistant manager and bring a new one in. Settled for Dillon from Reading :) And also brought in a new First Team Coach. Took a guy from Villa.
A little dissapointed at not being able to get a LB in and a alternate RM. But thats football.

Had a good pre season with notable victories over Ajax 1-0 at home. and a 4-1 win over Hamilton Acidemical. Only drew one game and that was away to Hibs. Score was 3-3.

Coming out of Pre season i shaped my squad up like this (forgive me if spellings are wrong)

-------------Jaaskalinan--------------
Steinssen---Cahill---O'Brien---Samuell
Davies/Riga---Defour---Taylor/Gardener
---------------Mota-----------------
-----------Vaz Te----Elmander/Davies----

Took a dissapointing draw at home to West Ham, came close but hit the bar 5 times.

Next was an away trip to Arsenal and got thumped 3-1 much to my expectations. Have a trip to City next where i expect to loose heavily again. Team is gelling well though and I think results should pick up again soon :)

I will post every 3 games or so giving you updates on this story along the way :)

Nice sam, keep it up mate, I'll be doing a thread on my Notts County story on my update later (and no my update is not on FM-Base and I won't be putting it up :P). Good luck, some good signings and a good team, I reckon you'll get 9th spot :)
