i am starting a story with fenerbahce but unfortunately its on fm09 becuase i have not had the time to go out and buy fm2010 yet but hopefully getting it soon :)

fenerbahce name George Fenech as their new manager and hope he can lead them to league glory and do well in the champions league

tiraths i will try to get some good players so i have a bigger transfer budget i am going to sell a few players first to help :)
 
They have a really annoying rule which means you have to field about 5/6 Turkish players, so thats why you need the best turks along with good foreigners in the positions which the turks are weakest

Fenech just about wins first game in charge in pre season friendly



I am happy that we managed to put the ball in the back of the net 4 times today but abit upset that we conceded 3 but its only a pre season game so it doesnt matter much.

Fenech makes first signing as fenerbahce manager

Fenerbahce have signed Alan Smith from Newcastle United for a fee of £4.3 million after his assistant manager told him Smith would be a good signing. Fenech had this to say:

I am very happy to sign a very good player for my team. It may take him a bit of time to adapt to the football as this is the first time he will be playing for a team outside of england but i believe he has the ability to do well for this club.

Alan Smith also spoke about his move to fenerbahce.

I am pleased to sign for a great club like fenerbahce because i had been at Newcastle for a few seasons now and i felt it was time to move on and im also happy to be playing abroad for the first time in my career.

when asked whch player is he most looking forward to playing along side Alan said guiza because he is a very talented striker and can score some vital goals.

Pre season round up :

fc vaslui 3-4 fenerbahce guiza, senturk, boral, parlak

A good start but the defending could of been abit better to be honest.


Loko 0-3 Fenerbahce yilmaz, guiza, senturk

a good away win and the team looked up for it even though it was a friendly


tarsus 1-4 fenerbahce cek, emreciksin, kayali, sahin

another good pre season result as my team are playing well


fenerbahce 1-0 frankfurt lugano

a bit of a boring match with hardly any chances for either team apart from the goal


Gaziosmanpasa 1-3 fenerbahce lugano, yilmaz, senturk

another good pre season win and another good performance from the team


sakaryaspor 2-0 fenerbahce

not the best of ways to finish pre season but the performance wasnt to bad from the team


overall my team looked good i pre season and in certain games performed very well so lets hope they can do the same in the league :)

yh it is a strange signing i wernt hinking of signing him when i first started the game but he was reccomended so i thought i might as well sign him and he will proberly be my only signing because atm i cant afford the best turkish players and i have the excact amount of foreign players you are allowed

champions league qualifying round 2 round up:

(first leg) jerusalem 1-1 fenerbahce guiza

not the best of performances from my team they have to improve in the second leg but atleast we got an away goal


(second leg) fenerbahce 4-1 jerusalem guiza 2, alex, emre

A much better performance in the second leg dominated most of the match and emre scored a brilliant goal from 25 yards

Fenerbahce draw dinamo in 3rd qaulifying round of the champions league. heres what george fenech had to say about the draw:

I think dinamo could be a tough opisition for us but hopefully our star striker guiza can fire us to the win.

very good performance away from home which may have put us through already


(second leg) fenerbahce 0-0 dinamo

pretty even game afew chances for both teams to score and good defending from both teams but the good thing about this draw mans im threw :)

Fenerbahce drawn in tough champions league group

George Fenechs fenerbahce have been drawn into a pretty tough group which looks like this

lyon
sporting lisbon
zenit
fenerbahce

when George feench was asking about the group he had this to say:

it is a very tough group for us and our toughest opponents will proberly be lyon becuase they have some great players but hopefully we can do very well and finish atleast 2nd in the group.
