I can't get results to with my liverpool team

I get so frustrated after few games that I always start a new save!!
I don't think it's normal to lose against Wigan and Middlesbrough and draw against Sunderland. Then again I won Standard in Champions League 5-0 home and 0-2 away.
I've created my own training schedule using Tugs Training. It is pretty much the same with few changes. I have also used Tugs training but it's the same. Loosing way to many games.

I don't have a screenshot of my team I usually have but usually I buy Srna, Balotelli and 1 other player (just depends on money). I sell Aurelio, Benayoun and Lucas and often I get around 25 million for all of them.

And also, does it make any difference if I bring in new coaches? I try to sign coach with for example high attributes in defending, attacking etc. and will assign them to handle those things to increase that training attribute. But I can't seem to get good results.

Now I just started a new save to show you my tactic and team instructions

I sold Benayoun, Lucas and Aurelio for 30.5 million, all to Man City :)

I then increased my transfer budget and have 47 million to buy players.
I have bought Srna for 12 million and I have made offer for Vagner Love.

Should I buy many players for small amount of money or spend it all or much on one player?

And also feel free to make suggestions on tactic, training etc.

There are a few threads on Liverpool. Some quite similar about the results you should do a search. Might have more luck in one of them.

Buy keirrison just scores goals for fun (free role )
Buy either loic remy or freddy adu for right winger
Buy either igmacho camacho for defensive midfield
Buy davide santon for rightback

John Fleck is only 16, good player in years to come. (Free From Rangers)
Sackho, Young defender, players for arsenal on mine hes quality. (starts off at PSV)

I think there are a few things you should change. Liverpool don't have the best wing backs, or wingers in fact. Maybe investing in these areas will help, like with Srna. I'd also play Alonso and Masherano in the DM as this will help out at the back and means you can tell your wing backs to get forward more. I don't see the benifit from have Kuyt and Riera running back either. Play them to their strengths and get them to go forward and attack. Then put Gerrard in the AMC position and give him a free role as this is his best position. Also as his passing is pretty **** good through balls to balls should work a charm! With regards to tactics, leave the back line rather deep as this then makes it difficult for teams to play balls over the top and counter attack. Get closing down all over the pitch as this will add pressure to the opposite forcing them into mistakes. A quick tempo is always good for sides with better ball control, first touch and passing than their opposite as they will cope but the opposition at this tempo with make mistakes. I shall warn I'm not an expect and don't claim to be but as a Liverpool fan want to see them do well, even if its in the game! :D

I don't think it's normal to lose against ... Middlesbrough ...

The recent result of;
Middlesbrough 2 - 0 Liverpool

in real life begs to differ.

Anyway, back to FM.

You shouldn't be losing against these teams.

If you get Vagner Love that will be a big start. He will fire in the goals.

Coaching wise, try get the right coaches re. stats, but also try get ones with good motivation as that always seems to help me (short term anyway).

All right, thanks you guys! :D

About all the Liverpool threads, I looked at them but I wasn't sure if someone would notice my writing and I thought it was exactly the same so I made a new thread.

About playing Alonso along side of Mascherano on DMC is very good. I did that and I started of smashing in goals. As of now Torres is injured and he was my main goalscorer. I am now winning games against smaller teams but I can't win against the bigger teams.
I hate it so much, if i score against Arsenal, Chelsea or Man Utd they always score in the next minute.. They also often score on the 90th minute.

I also do not do so well in the Champions League, I need a miracle to get through from the stages. Anyway, I can't seem to win the bigger teams.

This is my formation now:

why not play 2 strikers? you have balotelli and torres. Kuyt and babel backup

Diego Bounnonette(not sure if thats the correct spelling) is the best player for left wing id say. If hes on free role and run with ball he carries it from left to right and through the middle almost every game, always ends up with the highest dribbling average and hes quite good at corners from the right side.

You shouldn't push the back line up so high on your instructions. It'll leave you exposed at the back especially when top teams have fast attackers or counter attack. Leave them deep. Don't make Babel and Kuyt run back and I'd drop the running forward instructed to Gerrard. He'll know what to do when he gets it. Give the team a bit more creative freedom to. This (and free role) will let Gerrard have a bit more of a roam into positions on the pitch and I'm sure it'll pay off. Also if creative freedom is up I'm sure the other knowledgeable players will attempt things that might just pay off. If Balotelli is strong and has good control you could use him as a target man which might also help. Closing down all over pitch will add pressure to the opponents too.

Another good tip for goals is get your best player at header (jumping and height can be important for this too) to go for a 'Near Post Flick On' at corners and get the corners aimed to the near post. Works alot for my team!

Hows your form/league position looking these days?

All right, thanks Bryce.

I was playing and my position was 4th after Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea when my computer decided to restart itself so I had to start all over again :I But I will take these information and see how I will do now :) All I have on schedule today is FM :D

id say you have too many players dropping back when you have the ball, you only have 3 going forward.

Wow, just played my first match against Bolton and lost 1-0. I have never managed to win the league on first season with Liverpool and it seems to be impossible for me!!

I have lost my patience. Nothing I do seems to work!!
I can't afford to lose these games if I am going to crusade the title..

I've created my training schedule and if I use it my team will crash.. I lose and lose and lose.. I don't understand it.. General training is equal in all attributes except goalkeeping.. now I let my defenders train defense intensive, shooting low etc. just what defenders need to be good at. And I do the same with strikers, wingers, midfielders etc. but all they do is suck! Even with Tug's Training..

Firstly YOUR IN AUGUST STILL, players need to get back into playing with each other and used to the formation. Players don't just improve due to training, the training allows them to improve, they have to play to improve so you won't really see anything till September.

Are you giving your players individual instructions or are they all playing the same mentality, no creativity and direct passing?!?

Personally i'd go with the Benitez system 5x5. GK, DC, FB, DMC on x-2 mentality, ML/R, AMC, FC on x+2, X being whatever overall mentality you want so for a Standard mentality of 10 you'd have 8's and 12's, thats the general idea, will need to tweak it depending on player positioning and if your playing 1 or 2 up front. Defense mixed/direct low creativity passing to get it forward. Then the attackers should have high creativity and short passing. High levels of closing down by the attacking players with the defensive players much lower to hold there positions to hopefully get any rushed balls caused by the closing down. I'd played Mixed or Through the Middle, Liverpool doesn't suit playing very wide and down wings, so keep the formation a little tighter than others, you could give free roles to the AML/AMR so they move around more, train them to get into opposition box.

Until they get used to the tactic they will probably lose the ball from not being on the same wave-length as each other. You could play more a posession game with slow short passing to keep the ball at the back with the attackers playing mixed/direct and letting there high creativity work to play the final ball.

Having 5 defensive minded players that are quality at defending and keeping them in position should prevent you from letting in goals, especially against weak opponents whilst having quality forward players can get you that goal you need.

Preston85: I don't understand the tactic.. I give Gerrard free role and much creative freedom, he also has his mentality attacking. I let my wingers cross the ball often and that's it. Team Instructions:

those team instructions are all over the place, try and have you creative freedom at a very similar level to your teams attacking mentality (The top to bars) Take off tight marking if your using Zonal.
Focus passing down the middle (To focus on Gerrard) and but you width slider closer to narrow.

I don't understand this x-2 and x+2. Although I think you mean if I'm having my attackers mentality attacking I should click 4 times back on my defenders mentality?

Its a scale of 20, with 10 being Normal Mentality. So X = 10 if you want your team to play normal mentality.
A defender should be more defensive minded hence you want to be X - 2 = 8 in t this example, so two clicks left from the middle line. And a attacker you want to be more attacking so X + 2 = 12, so two clicks right from the middle line.

Have a look at some of the Standard Tactics that come with the game, try 4-3-3 Standard. Then look at the individual Mentality of the players and how the defenders are ultra defensive while the strikers are attacking. The same can be said about creativity, the central defenders are given no creative while the attacking minded players are. They also all have individual passing settings, the DCs are just looking to clear it long, while the rest are looking to get it down and play it short.

Rather than explaining all the adjustments i'd make i'll just make it ingame and attach it...
