My Manchester United...

Well having always been a fan of Football manager and a Manchester United fan this is my Man Utd story within FM 2015.

Started with the 60M transfer budget, in general we've got a good team it just happens that this season we've been ridden with injuries so as a result there has been some shocking results (In real life)

There for i figured we'd need a few defenders and a defensive midfielder to add to the team. I brought Balanta for 7m from River (Excellent exciting young centre back) Nagatomo from Inter for 9M (Plays L&R WB/FB) has experience and he's good at 27. My defensive midfielder was a no brainer i went with Victor Wanyama from Southampton for 15m

So far i've sold no one major, although that's subject to change in the january transfer window as many players arnt making my team due to the formation i use (Evans,Young,Smalling,Fletcher,Carrick,Valencia)

My record i've played 19 won 15 drew 3 and lost 1 i'm currently 12 points clear of 2nd place.

So far both Jose Mourinho & Pelegrini have been sacked (Biggest Managers)

My tactics:

I play a 4 - 1 - 2 - 1 - 2 type formation, utilising the WB's and play maker's to create and set up goals. (yes there are no wingers
Falcao/Van Persie Rooney/Falcao
Mata
Usually Herrera/Blind & Di Maria
(Wanyama/Fellani/Blind)
WB CB CB WB Shaw/Nagatomo Balanta & Jones Valencia/Rafael/nagatomo
GK De Gea​
Attacking and fluid

The current game date is 28th Dec 2014.

Screen shots can be taken as proof, my tactic works very well and suits this team.

What do you all think?

I may even consider a you tube video depending what people thing to prove i'm not cheating.
 
I find Herrera isnt really that great on here, Fellaini always plays much better for me.

Januzaj is awesome as an AP tho.
 
I find using Herrera as a DLP with a defence or support option he plays well, also have him set to direct passes to utilise his paying ability. He partners do Maria very well im trying to get them too as my essential partnership in the same role as Xavi and Iniesta did for Barcelona. I mean my team success passing rate is above 80%. I'll be uploading some videos to my steam account shortly to show some results and comes back into made.
 
Hey, best of luck with the story. Can I ask do you play shaw and Rafael in the full back position with the wing back role or in the actual wing back position? Do they get many assist for you?
 
I usually play them as Complete Wing Back in the full back position.

In my first season Luke Shaw out of 27 appearances (Premier league) He scored 1 got 16 assists and 2 POM's with an average rating of 7.49.

In my first season Rafael got me 18 appearences (Premier League) with 6 assists and 2 POM's with an average rating of 7.29

However Nagatomo made 22 appearances (Premier League) 1 goal with 10 assists and 3 POM's with an average rating of 7.38

These stats are for the Premier league only and utilising the wing backs with the 'look for overlap' it's also worth nothing that during this first season Luke Shaw won the following awards. English Players Young Player of the year, English Premier Division select (Best LB in Premier League) and the 2014 European Golden Boy.
 
So the end of the season has finished and i finished 1st play with the following stats:

P 38 W 27 D 8 L 3 F 90 A 33 GD 57 18 points ahead of chelsea in second place.

So start of the second season and i've just finished my pre season with games against Brentford Away won 3-0 Ross County away which I also won 3-0. I then played Bayern Munich at home which i managed to win 2-1 with Wanyama scoring in the 90th minute. My finish preseason has been Lugo away which I won 5-1. My next game is against chelsea in the Community Shield. I also won the Capital One cup beating chelsea 3-1 in the final but they then got there revenge against me in the FA Cup beating me in penalties.
 
It's worth nothing for this 2nd season the Louis Van Gaal is the Chelsea Manager and Unia Emery is the Manchester City manager.
 
So who have i sold/released or brought for my second season?

During my first season i didn't sell any first team players as we all know players perform different on this than in reality so at the end of the first i sold who i consider to either be dead wood, doesn't fit isn't my tactical plan or who i consider doesn't have potential to play for Man Utd.

I gave the following free transfers or were released:

Carrick, Fletcher, Anderson, Amos, Cleverly, James, Rothwell, Love, Weir, Grimshaw, O Hara, McConnel, Callum Evans, Ashley Fletcher, Wood ,Loftus, Redmond and Zaha

The following were sold:

Jonny Evans (5m Southampton) Young (5m Villa) Valencia (8m Newcastle) Javier Hernandez px to bring in Strootman. Nani 7m Real Madrid.

So who have i brought in so far for my second season:

Nikola Vlasic a 17yr old from Hadjuk who will be Mata's replacement when i wean him in. At 235k he is a true bargain and a great signing who i recommend you all take a look at.

Dimitri Foulquier a 22 yr old right full back from Granada (7M) who will be replacing Rafael who i intend to sell in this window.

An additional signing was to bolster up my midfield as i primarily exploit the middle and overlaps, 40M P/X for Strootman.

I also managed to extend Falcao's loan for another season, this time without a buy out clause as i've no intention of buying him due to having Wilson and Henriquez lurking for his 1st team role.
 
insane season, disagree with letting Zaha go though. He can be really effective!
 
The reason I let Zaha go is because in my current tactics i don't use wingers in FM and only wing backs, and he's not good enough centrally to play in my team.
 
My Community Shield game finished 1-1 which i won on penalties. Chelsea managed just 1 shot on target (2 in the match) in the 90 minutes, compared to my 13 shots of which 8 were on target. View attachment 327684
 
My first game of the season was against Fulham, we won 3-0 by dominating possession and Fulham had 0 shots the whole game. I also brought a new player on a punt, Roberto Pereyra he's a 24yr old Argentinean midfielder that was released by Juventus he made his Debut for me in the 3-0 win replacing Rooney in the 69 minute. 10 minutes later his blast from outside the box also got his debut goal.
