Hallo friends,

at my first, here's my QPR team. Struggling QPR team.
I'm out of FA Cup (just lost in extra time to Birmingham), also out of League Cup (lost to Blackburn).
I'm also doing not so well in league as you can see. The biggest problem is I play very well at home but terribly away. (Although I'm mixing with tactics etc).

sic! GK Ian Walker is not shown...

And now some questions (as you see new transfer window is opened):
- I'm using Ruby tactics, if you know it. Who doesn't, I'm explaining shortly: four defenders, two CM-s (one arrow down), one winger (no difference if left or right) and two strikers. Should I keep going with it or change it?
- you can see my squad. Just adding that Merida's loan will expire soon and I don't know yet if I can prolong it or not. There are also Di Carmine and Alberti f.e.
- where should I improve and with who? I've 1,3 million available.
- who should I sell and/or loan?
- should I start to build already for future?
- how should I speak to my team? Be calm, praise them whenever possible or be hard guy?
- how much are you listening your assistant when picking line-up and giving teamtalk? I've tried it with my Mr Oliveira, but... yeah, he seems to be even worse than me. Is it possible/good idea to replace him with someone?
- last but not least: I'm performing very well (honestly) at home, but just terribly away. I've tried to mix tactics, be more conservative away - but nothing really helps.

Thx in advance, hopefully you can solve my headache.

hi mate , i play with Q.P.R. to . 3th season now . i use the tactic set for all teams in this forum . i use the topnotch 4-4-2 , i play : HOME : attack away and AWAY: counter . it works great in the premier leauge ! grtz

ok, thanks, but besides tactics what do you advise me to do?
Which positions to strengthen? With who (I repeat, 1,3 M in bank)?
Who to offload?
And I would really appreciate if you could help with question about assistant. Are you still playing with Bruno Oliveira? How do you rate him?
QPR's backroom staff seems to be very thin. How many coaches and scouts (who??)did you take?
Etc etc

if you can get another assistant , Oliveira is not good in motivating . My assistant is McAndrew from Villa . The 1st season i sign AMC: Parejo (1k) sold him now for 21m to Barca , VC: Samuel (110k), VM: Appiah (free) , AML: Leonardo (1,3m) , VR: Santon (1,5m) and VM: Matabuena (180k) . The 1st season i had 6 coaches and 2 scouts , its difficult in the beginning to have a good staff ! grtzz

tbh i would start again, I was QPR and i finished 3rd first season by buying Kevin Doyle for £5.25m, Owen Garvan for £1.7m and Razvan Rat for £2m, then because I was doing so well the board gave me another £4m, so I bought Chris Eagles for £1.8m and Danny Shittu for £1.5m, I lost in the play off finals to Reading on penalties, but all in all a great season, just started 2nd season and I've got £15m to spend and my objective is to get into the play offs :P Also no matter what, if I was at home or away, I ALWAYS countered everyone, then if I scored, just defended, but then when I defended I kept scoring so I won easily lol xD And are you mad!? Put Radek Cerny in goal, he's a beast and camp sucks! Also you need a right winger, you have no width about you.

you are in dyer need of a AMR or MR who can really whip a ball into the box...

In some (maybe strange) reason I really do feel that I have to get GOOD assistant. But the problem is: Oliveira's contract runs 2,5 more years and I have to pay 250 000 to release him. Is it worth? Or can I move him to f.e. 1st team coach and hire new assistant? I doubt...

I agree fully with guys who have suggested me to get new right-side MF. Who can my Mr. Saviour be? Belaid, Burke, Fiore, McCleary, Scannell, Torje, Vassiljev... Remember, I have bit less than 1,5M at my disposal ATM.

A right mid as well would help because there is so much space on the right flank for the opponents to exploit.

i advice you to add a second winger and play with lone striker. i would give your AMC settings of FCd. in this case, try to sign Kikin Fonseca from Mexico if you can find him, he does the job for me in my lone striker formations. you can find really good players for your team right here http://www.fm-base.co.uk/players.php

now about team talks. be less harsh when playing away from home. for example if you lose when away then say "symphatise" or "good effort". if you lose when away against stronger team then you can say "good result" or "well done".
for home matches you have to require more from your players so if you lose to equalent or weaker team then say "dissapointed". when lose to stronger team then you can say "good effort" or "symphatise".
about a halt time team talks. if u are leading, no matter home or away never say "pleased" cuz this will cause a lack of motivation in second half for your team. you better say "don't get careless" or even say nothing.
however sometimes, when your team perform unexpected like losing 5:0 or winning 5:0 etc you should use "angry" or "sensational" options.
if your players have avverage 7.0 and only one (or two) player has 5.0 say him that you are angry on him. in vice-versa, when your team has 6.0 and one player has 8.0 or more you should say him that you are delighted. in a half time, when some player performs worst than he usualy does i always say him "you have faith".
before the match you can always use "you can win" or "for the fans" options. and "good luck" when playing against stronger sides

if you are not happy with your assistant manager then obviously you have to replace him. for your team i would recommend Massimo Neri, Oleg Luhzny (or Luzhny whatever hes spelled), Valdir De Moraes. they are very good assistants. i never listen to my assistant's advice when picking line-up bcoz sometimes their advices are simple ridiculous.

if you are struggling when playing away from home. add some extra deffensive duties in your team, low down team mentality and play direct passing, also increase time wasting option. low down ammount of free roles and creative freedom. using playmaker also helps. and play counter-attacking style of football.

I need help with my QPR team i have bought Lita (top Scorer) Andrew Driver (Top Performer) and Alan Smith (Top of the injury list)

In my first season i came 12th ino not the best but i was just 5 points from the play offs.

I had a great start to the season winning most of my games and cuming in a respective 5th, then my form started to dip losing against the relagation battlers and drawing games in really should be winning, at this point i was mid table. I had won my last 7 games even against champions Reading and Promoted Birmingham but the bad couple of months i had b4 hand had an effect and i stayd in that position....

Can any1 help with tactics or players??

I'm doing well with QPR, I bought Owen Garvan, Kevin Doyle, Danny Shittu, Chris Eagles and I got Jack Collison on loan, I said I would get promotion and I'm 2nd on goal difference with 29 games played :P I use a 4-2-3-1 formation, I counter everyone no matter if who they are or if I'm home or away :)
