My Sunderland story.

First time story teller so bare with me :)

Sunderland have unveiled Sam Williams as their new manager. Following the shock departure of recently appointed Steve Bruce, Sunderland have appointed the rookie manager to take charge with immediate effect. With many bookies tipping him to be the first manager to be replaced this season, many fans will be keeping a cautious eye over the young manager. But as a a local lad who understands the passion and commitment of the fans more than anyone else, he could be a real coup for the club.

Ha'way the lads.

Will do monthly updates on my story. Unsure on how to do the screen shots so help would be appreciated.

Starting with a transfer budget of 12.75 million and a weekly wage budget of 800k.

For screen shots.
Press ALT and F9.
Or.. On a HP labtop.. Press 'fn' next to the windows button. And top right under 'insert' together.. Then press paste into a Document. Prefferably Powerpoint..

I'm currently managing Sunderland aswell...
Would recommend you bid for Angel Di Maria for 4M. It will be accepted ;) Let me know how you get on..

Sunderland 2 - 1 Sunderland reserves

Bent, Richardson - Healy

A comfortable if less than impressive victory over the reserves. Bent looked sharp but to my amazment so did Healy for the reserves. Had a few chances to draw them level and on another day might have done, never the less changes to be made for the next friendly.

Di maria signs for Sunderland

Rookie manager Sam Williams has confirmed his first signing of the summer, Angel Di Maria. This is seen by many as a very positive signing and hopefully the signalling of more to come for Sunderland.

Sunderland snap up Sporting CP star

Sam Williams has confirmed his second signing of the summer. Simon Vukcevic signed a 4 year deal. The transfer is rumoured to have cost the club just under 6 million and can only be seen as another positive signing for the club.

Livingston 1 - 4 Sunderland

Kenny Brown - Paolo DaSilva, Bent, Ferdinand, Malbranque

A comfortable afternoon for Sunderland away to Livingston. The hosts took the lead on 9 minutes but the visitors quickly got into their stride and made their chances count. A major blow for Sunderland is that Vukcevic was injured during the game. Thankfully it was nothing major and he will be back in training after a couple of days.

Glenavon 0 - 6 Sunderland

K.Jones x3, Vukcevic, DaSilva, Bent

Bent continued his positive pre season with another goal. Kenwyne played well, their defence just could handle his strength really. I am most impressed with DaSilva, been playing well in the pre season and has chipped in a couple of goals.

Oldham 0 - 2 Sunderland

Bent, Cattermole

A lacklustre performance from the Black Cats seen them score at each end of the game. Bent finished well after 2 minutes and Cattermole in the 3rd minute of stoppage time.

Sunderland sign Ehret from Koln

Sam Williams has confirmed the signing of experienced French left back Fabrice Ehret on a seasons long loan. This will add additional depth in the problem left back area and hopefully competition for George McCartney. Sam Williams was most impressed with Ehret team work and work rate.

no offence, wonder how many sunderland stories there are out :P but still, keep on doing this:D

Liverpool 2 - 0 Sunderland

Torres. That is all.

Sunderland 2 - 0 Burnley

A confident performance from us. Was never wrried even at 1-0. We kept them quiet all game. Kenwyne was the man today, getting the first goal and scooping the man of the match. Bent also scored and played well. It is a great feeling when both of your strikers have got their shooting boots on, long may it continue...

Fulham 0 - 1 Sunderland

Ooo edgey game indeed. Took the lead in the first half through man of the match Kenwyne Jones. We were comfortable til the 70th minute when the game should have been dead and buried. Don't think we touched the ball in the last 20 minutes and they had a penalty shout turned down. Very pleased to win away from home.

Tranmere 0 - 4 Sunderland (League cup 1st round)

Easy game with my fringe players making up them team. Only regulars were Bent and Malbranque. Bent bagged 2 goals in quick succsession. Campbell and Henderson with the other two goals. Comfortably through to the next round.

League cup 3rd round draw

Sunderland have been handed an away tie to championship side Sheffield United. With Sam Williams wanting to do well in this competition, he will have to field a relatively strong side against tougher competition.

Sunderland 2 - 3 Bolton

Well, well. Looks like we were found out today. They scored a penalty, we scored an own goal and they missed a penalty. So they did have majority of luck. Gav McCann inspiring for them. Bent 2 goals for us. Bubble burst. Oh and John Mensah sent off in the dying minutes.

Sunderland sign right back on loan

Sunderland have today confirmed that they have signed 23 year old Milano Koenders from AZ on a season long loan with a view to a permanent deal. It is thought that he will provide extra cover in the squad.

koenders i was looking at him for sheffield united, tell me if hes good
