Just started my third season pal. Came 6th in the league twice behind the big 5 teams. Made my money from selling Bentley, Modric, Bent, Keane... that bunch.

Not doing well in domestic cups, but reached uefa cup semi's twice in a row. Valencia keep knocking me out!

Obasi is brilliant for me, only just signed Ba. He is banging them in but Pavlychenko is probably better. :S

You know if you're smart with your money from the very start you'll be able to bring in a bit more quality and have more balance. I tried a new tactic for my first season and managed 4th place. Aiming to win this year :), a 2-0 away win to Manchester United is promising.

Here's the squad :)

& here's my finances. I'll be able to buy any player I want price wise in the summer.

I had an idea to start anew with Tottenham, and revamp the entire squad almost from scratch. I sold most of my team, and re-built from the bottom up. Here is my starting XI (4-1-2-3 or 4-1-4-1, depending on how you look at it):

........................Gomes........................

Azpilicueta....Diakhate....David Luiz....Bale

.........................Veloso........................

................Palacios.....Modric.................

Bentley...................................Guardado

.....................Vagner Love....................

Subs: Filipe, Pavyluchenko, Vukcevic, Huddlestone, Marquinhos, Corluka, Hutton.

Wilson Palacios, believe it or not, was Golden Boot winner in my first season... 26 prem goals, lol. Scored 80+ total, with over 10 each for Guardado, Modric, Veloso, Vagner Love, Pavlyuchenko. Bentley had 21 assists too, glad I kept hold of him despite trying to sell initially.

Anyway, I came 3rd in the premier league, Arsenal won with Liverpool as runner-up. I won the Carling Cup after beating Liverpool 2-1 in the final at Wembley, and I lost to Liverpool in the FA Cup final 2-1... bit of revenge for them there. I did however bow out of the EUFA Europa League a bit early than I planned... I drew Porto in the first knockout round and lost 4-3 over both legs, darn.

Anyway, just wanted to share my success! x

I sold pavlyuchenko and bought marquinhos. Demba Ba and Obasi are brilliant, they play well together aswell because they love each other. practically *** boys.

Obasi and Demba Ba are very good players ...

But neither is good at finishing, which is essential for a striker in my eyes. If they can't finish they're of little use unless you're using a different focal point to your attack.

When I play with two men forward, I make sure at least one is good at the Finishing. I tend to aim for one to be more of a beast in the Long Shots/Heading department whereas the other can be a slippery snake with high Finishing and getting in behind defenders.

But that's just me, Vagner Love / Pavlyuchenko fit that fine for me.

Every time i've played Pav he has been a disgrace, couldn't hit a barn yard door :(

Love on the other hand, doesn't matter how I play him, even if he's in and out of the team he always ends up with a good goal tally, normally a goal every two games or better.

That's odd, though I have had poor experiences with him too. Pavluchenko has become an absolute machine for me. I used Tug's Training, and he has some sublime stat increases now. Think he ended up with 16 goals to Vagner Love's 19.

Like I said though, Palacios was a beast in my first season. 26 Prem Goals. x

?? I had them both with more than 30 goals each in one season ...

It really depends on how you play them.

Hi, can you post a screen shot on the transfer history, so I can see how much you pay for those players over the 2 seasons, 08 and 09 that you are in, I am very interest in your game, its already a worldclass team in my eyes
