My yeovil story!!!

i just started a new season with yeovil and im creating a thread showing my progress. :)
here are my summer transfers....

IN
Fabio-Man Utd-Loan
Stuart Fleetwood-Charlton-4k

After 4 or 5 good friendlies including an amazing 2-1 win over benfica, i was ready for the season ahead. i was predicted to be relegated so there was no huge pressure on.

CREWE 1 - 4 YEOVIL (TOMLIN, CRISTEA,WILLIAMS,HUTCHINS)
A brilliant start to the season against a good team in the form of Crewe.
a beatiful 25 yarder from tomlin for the 1st goal of the season. all the new players gelled and MOM daniel hutchins played well in CM. only 1 negative, michael potts out for 9 months-loan terminated by me. :(

BRISTOL CITY 0 - 1 YEOVIL (STAM)
header from stam in 88th minute gets me through to LC 2nd round.

YEOVIL 2 - 0 SOUTHEND ( TOMLIN, WILLIAMS)
a goal and assist from tomlin beats L1 favourites southend. Sam Williams with the other goal. great start to L1. top of league :)

LEEDS 3 - 1 YEOVIL (TOMLIN)
we went 1 - 0 up after 20 mintues but then leeds dominated the next 70 and managed to score 3 goals in the 2nd half. good performance from wagenaar as he scores 9.8. :)

YEOVIL 2 - 1 CARDIFF (WAY, WILLIAMS)
Another solid performance as we beat cardiff in ET and progress into the Lc 3rd round. 20 yard goal from way in last minute of normal time got us in to ET.

YEOVIL 1 - 1 LEICESTER (DYER OG.)
A great performance from Darren Way at CM and from the rest of the team which shows that yeovil can mix it with the best in league one.

so far a GREAT start to the season as we are now in 5th in L1 and are through to the 3rd round of the league cup to play blackburn. hopefully i can survive relegation and maybe even nick a play-off place. keep reading guys for the latest updates after every 3 games :)

on loan from maan utd. loan listed and he wanted to play. great captue so far, keeping Nathan smith,, my normal left back out of the team.

Nice one mate, I'm doing similar thing to you, managing Peterborough, we're 7th in League 1 with 3 games remaining, one point behind 6th place Leicester, check it out (H) Good luck in you game btw mate. :)
 
cheers. good luck too :) i just lost 2-1 to carlisle and im now 9th with no win in 3 in the league. great game with our team playing well apart from the strikers who had no less than 6 one on ones between them, no of which they took. fabio with the only goal with a 50 yard run before slotting it in from the edge of the area. GREAT GOAL. finishing let us down and only a 30 yaard free kick from their LB gave them the points in a game i dominated. :( i have just managed to get francesco merida on loan from arsenal for 3 months to strengthen up my midfield. got any views on him?
 
Yeah he's awesome mate, had him for Swindon, scores goals but will prob take the 3 months you've got him for to settle in and get experience, try and make it season long, also don't offer any wages incase you did, they accept no wages as most prem clubs do. I also recommend Henri Lansbury from Arsenal, another good little loan player. Have you got any tip on who to watch out for in my next game with Yeovil?
 
lansbury is already on loan at southend. i offered 10% wages so they would except. i got him though. i might also go for ryhs murphy from arsenal and kyle bartley from arsenal.
 
Cool, unlucky with Lansbury there, very good player. Murphy from Arsenal looks good, try it, haven't looked at Bartley but if he is any good try it :)
 
thanks. just beat brighton 2-1 in the 3rd minute of injury time. :) big mistake from my keeper put them 1-0 up but i pulled back with goals from fleetwood and williams. my finishing is poor but the midfield is looking secure and the team has gelled well. merida was man of the match. beatiful through balls :) hows the yeovil game?
 
Nice man, peterborough is going good, I have made all my signings now, main ones being Bradley Wright-Phillips for free, Stern John for 75k, Euell for free, McGoldrick for 220k, loads of others to, just check out the thread to see em all, found some quality regen keeper, potential to be leading star championship GK soon :P
 
This is my Yeovil Story to date. I took over in the last 3 or so games of 15/16 season. Got all the way to Premier League, only missed out on staying up by 1 goal difference on this last game..

Its all good, I only bought one expensive player with a huge wage bill, bought him for 10m, sold him for 30m one year later with 50% sell on fee as well and I made 70m for the year just being in the league...

YEOVIL 1 - 3 BLACKBURN
GREAT GAME!!! gavin tomlin deservedly put us 1-0 up 26 minutes through as we dominated the first half. blackburn came out and outplayed us in the 2nd half and only a goal from matt derbyshire in the 4th minute of injury time took the game into ET. more injury time madness as blackburn as they score 2 goals in the last minute before penalties. el hadji diouf the scorer of both. 3rd round of the league cup is still a great efoort. :)

YEOVIL 0 - 3 OLDHAM
we never had a look-in in this game. oldham dominated from the outset and the fact we only had 38% posession tells the story.

YEOVIL 1 - 1 MILLWALL
more late goals in yeovil games. bore draw looked on the cards until the 88th minute where neil harris went ahead with a cool finish. 3 minutes into injury time a corner from merida landed on the head of dave mackay who headed home from close range. 1-1 is a good result against 2nd in the league. im now 11th after 9 games.

hey guys. as you know im currently working on my yeovil save and am 8th in L1 after 12 games. but i have just been offered the derby job as paul jewell has been sacked. do you think i should accept it or keep on going with the glovers?
 
sorry i havent updated for a while but here are my recent results. 10th in the league. just had great 5-2 win over mk dons :) also good win against walsall but poor defeats to swindon and leyton orient.
 
what patch are you on coz Paul Jewell isn't manager of Derby on 9.3, and don't accept it, just keep going.
 
9.3 :) he got hired after about 10 games and has now left to go to hull who are 2nd bottom in the prem :) i rejected it cos derby are in mid table and could be a bit of a boring season :)

and my game now against huddersfield is merida's last game before going back to arsenal. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR A CM AS I ONLY HAVE 2 FIRST TEAMERS ATM :( just loan suggestions pleease.
