Mysteriously appearing kits

I have used the fm12 data editor to change my goalkeepers kit on the two teams I am managing. Both goalkeepers only have 2 kits, there is no third kit and I haven't created one in the editor, (or in FMRTE). So why is it that both my goalkeepers HAVE a third kit and are wearing it regularly? (By the way, it's always grey). how can I stop this from occurring?
