Nations not showing on nation selection page

I am trying to start a new save and Italy and France aren't showing up on the selection of nations. Any reason why?

post a screen shot. Sounds like there might be an issue with the database
 
I think what it could be is I've added 2 custom databases, will remove 1 and then see what happens. Cheers.
