Need a good Defensive Midfielder for newly promoted Premier League side!!!

I am playing as Birmingham and after winning in the Championship playoff final, I find myself headed for the premier league. I am planning on playing a 4-1-2-1-2. I have several class attacking options (Quintero, Ruchina, Taraabt) but I desperately need a solid defensive mid. Anyone you guys can think of who would be class, but would be willing to sign for a side like Birmingham??? Not sure on what my budget is yet, but I figure if they are willing to sign, I can work my budget around it.

palacios from stoke is a fenomenal defensive midfielder. also, you could try crisetig(swap him for free or for a small amount of money from inter). you can use him even if his isn't a developed player. i bought him in the winter of 2012 (so sooner than you) and he played fantastic for stoke. he has a great potential. i also recommend you martial from brest. he is a central defender. 20 years old. great potential. in his first seson (also stoke) he had a 7.2 average rating. i've used him near shawcross. as a cm, buy collison from west ham. great potential, great work rate, great passing (individual training focus).

hmmm defensive mid... try searchin for a few cheap regens see if u can find any. what about marco verreti. of pescara plays great in 4 1 2 1 2 as a deep lying playmaker.

Is he really good? Checked him out and he has really good mental stats but not sure if his other stats are good enough. What is your experience with him?

he averaged 7.5 for me at stoke for 3 seasons
