Need a new Centre Back for Arsenal. Vermaelen is leaving.

I'm in the middle of my 3rd season incharge of Arsenal. Vermaelen has submitted a transfer request saying he needs a new challenge and he wants to go to Barca (Fair enough, he's won 9 trophies at Arsenal with me). I can't keep him (I've tried) so I need a replacement. I bought Varane in my 2nd season in charge but he's obviously nowhere near ready. So...Any recommendations?

I can personally recommend the first two. Got them in my Liverpool squad, and doing amazing!

Thanks for the recommendations. I think i'm gonna go with a shortlist of Hummels, Vertonghen and Gary Cahill. My scouts have mentioned though that Hummels will have no interest in joining us .
