I'm at end of first season with Chelsea, budget of ?35-40m. Need a DLP/Regista type player who can completely dictate the play. The younger the better but they also need to be developed so they can be effective this season. Gundogan won't join and Koke has recently moved.

Thanks! :)

Angel Correa from San Lorenzo in Argentina, quality player with great potential.

Failing that, Draxler.

Wait, what? Draxler is a winger, essentially. And he's excellent there. And has low marking, positioning as well as tackling. The same with Correa.. Why would they need to be bought?

Try Verratti, Pugliese, Ward-Prowse, Pogba.

They were just giving him suggestions, no need to try and prove why they're not good, as i'm sure they'd both do a good job in that position, as they're quality players.

Honestly? Draxler can play across all the attacking midfield, and with my experience he excels particularly well as an attacking playmaker. The same with Correa, he can be played predominantly in the middle and still be extremely effective, and as he is youngish he will develop better in the central role.

Pugliese is too young imo, he isn't good enough at the end of the first season to be effective enough for a top Prem team, he has the potential too certainly, but not at the moment.

Actually, if you want a Xavi player, you should get Ruben Pardo, excellent playmaker!

As an attacking midfielder? Sure. I use Draxler in most of my saves, and he's outstanding. I never stated that Draxler was not quality. He's excellent. But, he's not what the OP asked for.. Draxler, or for that matter Correa are definitely not DLP. Dictating the play is not something Draxler can be effectively used for, in FM atleast. Sure, he can be retrained to a DLP, but there're already excellent players available for DLP without the need to buy an expensive player, and retrain him to a DLP. The major stats needed for a Central Midfielder are low in Draxler, which is why I said Draxler wasn't exactly appropriate. Plus, retraining him will take time.

But then again, that's my 2 cents. Not a hard and fast rule, so no issues here.

Sergi Roberto, who could become the next Xavi in real life. They have a very similar style of play. Not sure what he's like on FM though. You could try for Ramsey, although Arsenal will probably be unwilling to sell him to you.

? yacob or mulumbu from West Brom are pretty epic?! or Mario Pugliese?...Sergi Darder?..G.Thorne? M.Schniederlin? A.Westwood?
